The only thing I've been willing to try that works for me is ASMR. If you don't know what that is it's basically relaxation videos on the Internet and KZitem where someone might whisper calming things into a microphone or make do something that's designed to make people feel happy and relaxed. If you have to you can see a therapist or call a crisis or suicide hotline or talk to friend or family member or use aromatherapy or do whatever it is you have to do, but ASMR is really my only resource at this point in time.

Great tips. Even if you are feeling good, applying these to your life will keep you in "check". I for one need routine in my life. Without it I feel out of sync. What has helped me is declutter. My home looks clutter free however my closets are not. I've been working on these one by one and I feel great as I go.

Loved this! (I feel I say this a lot on your channel, I'll try to be more creative next time I promise!) They are really good tips. Being stuck inside my own head sucks so here's me sharing my promises to myself: 1: Find your routine - Sticking to a whole foods plant based diet but allowing treats! 2: Get creative - just bought a planner! Going to do that every week & my KZitem stuff 3: Regulate your sleep - Getting an early night has really helped me, good sleep wins! 4: Talk about it - Talked about my mental health 2 years ago, helped me & others so much 5: Feel the feels - my partner helped with this, giving myself permission to feel

This is so spot on, it is important and it does work, if there's someone you live with who shames you for what you don't do even though you are trying then you have to rise above and know that they have issues to. A great book I read recently called complex ptsd from surviving to thriving, by Pete walker covers a lot of relevant stuff,. even if you don't think you have ptsd or suffered any kind of abuse in childhood, it covers learnt ways of thinking, affirmations, relationships, stress responses, there's actually four, fight flight freeze and fawn. I'm freeze like you Rhian go to bed/sleep is my stress response, play dead. I could go on I found it really helpful.

I tend to go to bed real late only to have to wake up early for work, and because of that I'm always waking up late and running late. so my goal for the next week is go to bed by 9, even if I'm just resting. another tip I like is to provide humor into your life. it's helped me through some dark times.

Wonderful tips that everyone can benefit from! I did see several comments about difficulties sleeping. I use to lay awake for hours on end. I stopped drinking caffeine. That made such a big difference in my life! I slept so much better and was happier and wide awake during the day. Now that I have to get up so early in the morning, I struggle with shutting my brain down so I can go to sleep early enough. I picked up a sleep mask and what a difference! Melatonin can also be helpful. It is a natural sleep aid. Your videos are always fabulous and unique!

I have Bipolar type 1. I write a ton and I'm even trying to save money to publish. I have learned a trick to end the distraction of thoughts. When you're having a thought you don't like, imagine a cage made of crystal or supernaturally charged steel. When the thought comes along, I call on my higher power and tell him to "Cage it" and I imagine the suspended cage collapsing on the evil thought and the demon thought fights a bit and the more it fights, and it explodes into dust.

That getting creative part hits home with me. Whenever I am stuck, down, nervous, etc., I try to pull back and find my creative side. This brings me back to when I was younger and creative, and it's wonderful. It gets me back to my zen and pulls me back into my peace. Then I am able to get things done while feeling good about it. Creativity clears the path for much success in mental health and moving forward. I love it. Thank you for the reminder.

For more than 10 years I took medication I was told to take, but it made me forget things and I always felt weird, so when I had enough, I made changes in that. Second, surround yourself, if you can, with people you love and love you back, and don't feel guilty if you have a bad day, I do exercises to strengten my back, I take long baths in epsom salts. Those really bad days, still a few now and then, I stay in and occupy my hands or watch netflix all day and even cry and shout if I have to.
