I think my tip would be that even when you don't feel "motivated," you gotta show up. It's a myth that motivation is ALWAYS there... It's not. Sometimes you gotta do your workout tired, or with Slight headache, or when you just don't want to. You need a plan! I've managed to lose 109 lbs and keep it off for 2 yes while building muscle because I had a plan....and even when I hit plateaus in my journey.... because I definitely have.....I just trusted the process and eventually broke through it to find gains

I like tip #5, sticking to a program. My question there is, how do I know what program out there is what I need and fits my goals? I think the reason why I and so many others switch from video to video searching for a new workout, is because we actually don’t understand what our bodies need long term. How do I gain the knowledge to know WHAT type of workout program fits my needs and goals? Would love to see specifics on that.

Hey, For me what made the biggest difference was deciding what exactly I wanted my body to look like. Setting a goal, and then looking for someone who caters to that goal. Mine was weight gain, I found so many videos on muscle building and I spent time watching and taking notes. I don’t search for videos everyday. I have 2 - 3 people I follow, and when I choose one of their videos, I do it for a while, before changing. Tips that helped me: 1. Setting your goal. Is it weight loss, is it weight gain? 2. Research- This year I discovered that working out my lower body 6 times a week was a bad idea, and the reason my gains had been so minimal despite doing it for a few years. I have seen more results now working out 4-5 times a week (3 lower body days, and 1-2 upper body days, and 2-3 rest days) I have seen more results now in 5 months of following this than I ever saw in 2-3 years of weight lifting. 3. Planning- I used to buy plans and programs and I got minimal results. KZitem has actually been great for me. I create folders for upper body and lower body days. I spent the quarantine watching so many fitness bloggers and choosing which one most fits into my goal. I watched so many and narrowed down to about 2-3 trainers for upper body and for lower body. I saved some videos to my folders. And the night before each workout, I would choose one video and type out each workout on my phone, the sets and reps. I take that to the gym, I also add the weights I use. So for example, I worked on my lower body today and next to each exercise I put the weight I used. The next time I’m working on my lower body, I would repeat this same exercise and either increase the weight or the sets or the rep. This also helps me track my strength. A week or 2 later, I would go into my folder and choose another video for my workout. To keep things interesting and not repetitive. This has been so helpful for me. In under 5 months, I have gained more muscle than all the years of working out.

I'd say everything is spot on except the deload period. I'd say if you're training really intensely, let's say around 20-24 quality training sessions in 4 weeks you need a deload week already, not after 8, 10 or 12 weeks, but after those 4 weeks. Usually I'm following male coaches but your programs and information are also very good, especially for training women (my wife also wants to have a quality program of training). Keep up the good work! Cheers from Croatia

I never gain any weight...I just never lose any...except in the summer when I lift weights and walk excessively but that's impossible in the winter..unless I go to the gym twice a day.

I often experience a migraine with or just before my period. I have learnt to train harder in the time after menstruating until ovulation, then I gently ease off from ovulation to menstruation. If I feel a migraine imminently then I stop training and rest until my period is over and I feel better again. Doing this has improved my ability to recover, my mental health, and I have been able to progress more in every way. I also occasionally take upto a week off if life is too stressful and I feel overwhelmed. Rest is so severely underrated!!
