Julissia's story broke me. And I mean that in every sense of the word. She was frightened of her egg donor. And her grandma was her safe place, and source of love. It should be against the law to rip a child away from all that they have ever known. She was giving the adults around her clues that something was wrong when she was forced to be around her egg donor. Those monsters didn't just beat her to death, she was then violated in every way possible. I screamed out when you uttered that she had been assaulted while she was dying. How on earth could anyone ever do this to a child?! Julissia, I am so sorry sweetheart. May you rest in eternal peace, where there is no pain and no fear forevermore..💔

I am a retired Social Worker and worked with CPS for a number of years. I get so angry when the Social Services or the Judicial Systems let children down by either failing to supervise properly or don’t act when signs demand action. Another issue is when Social Workers TRY to protect the child but the laws as written say the child must be returned to the prior abuser-that is what causes burnout for some of our best Social Workers. Rest in Peace beautiful Jalisa, I’m so sorry that the System did not protect you. 😞😞😞

There are few murder/abuse cases that bother me or evoke emotion in me, but Julissia's story is... fucking infuriating. Julissia had a loving, caring parent. But she was forced back with her mom who had demonstrated history of being a complete and total piece of fucking shit. Why? And why is Navissia still allowed to have children? And great. Navissia's other kid - Paul - has proven himself to be a vicious piece of shit as well. Now we have a murderous mother that raised a murderous son. You bet your ass I'll be watching her trial. I hope she gets life and rots behind bars. I'm usually unphased by the depth and creativity of human cruelty, but this is an absolute tragedy that was 100% preventable. Damn. My heart goes out to Yolanda.

All the evidence was there but once again, CPS and the courts don't give a damn about kids being abused. I can't understand why in the world they didn't just give grandma custody.

Julissia’s story is unfortunately common in our society. So many children having to keep all of this pain to themselves, while being abused by their own family… Im so sad and angry cuz I feel like hearing these stories just reminds me that while we enjoy our own loving family, there are children out there who’s never felt the feeling of being loved and safe 😞 I know this sounds kind of evil, but I really wish Parents/Family Members like these would be punished, not only by being locked up, but also by being physically tortured so that they can feel and see exactly what their abused children experienced…. You can see the innocence and pain thru Julissia’s eyes. R.I.P. 🥺🙏🌸
