🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:43 🏄♂️ *The 90-90 stretch involves creating two 90-degree angles with your legs, helping to stretch the glutes and improve flexibility for surfing.* 02:41 🏄♂️ *Hip flexor stretch helps open up the front of the hips, important for surfers who spend a lot of time sitting on surfboards.* 04:21 🏄♂️ *The lat stretch involves using a post or pole to stretch the side body, hip, and lats, aiding in pre-surf warm-up or long-term posture improvement.* 05:18 🏄♂️ *A chair-based neck and trap stretch is helpful for relieving neck pressure after a day of surfing, focusing on the traps and cervical area.* 06:57 🏄♂️ *Tricep stretch using a strap or rolled towel can target tightness around the shoulders and triceps, with various hand positions for different effects.* Made with HARPA AI

I find if I don't stretch daily, I just don't feel the same and it leads to getting niggles in the back, neck, hips etc. I'll be sure to give these ones a go to! Thanks Kale

Would love a video on the order to learn new surf skills for low level intermediate surfers, for example skateboarding made simple helped me learn to skate quick because each trick progressed me to the next, for example start with paddling, then popup, then ride along wave then bottom turn then some top turns in order of difficulty with pumping and airs thrown in place.

These definitely include the most important post-surf stretches. If I could add two more to the routine they would be good rhomboid and erector spinae stretches to avoid the surfer-typical tightness in the upper back👍

@@KalesBroccoli all the movements you did in this video are done in the yoga classes I take. Id say the twists are even more prevalent in yoga, many more variations.

Yoga does not necessarily build the core or develop specific muscles IMHO. I am 60ish and the osteopath told me to build the legs and balance. He told me NOT to do yoga after recent back and knee injuries. There are specific yoga and Pilates exercises but are so many poses and to say ‘just do yoga’ is naive. Kale is so specific here and I especially agree with his neck stretch as surfers need to be aware of strengthening this area.
