I’m in Canada. I have around 28,000 km (17,000 miles) on my 21 PAS. My bike was one of the early ones. In fact, it was the first one in Nova Scotia, and it did come with glitches. Harley has taken care of them with software updates and upgraded parts. Because of ongoing supply chain issues, some upgrades have not happened so quickly as I would like. But that problem is not unique to Harley. The radiator placement seems to be similar to other brands, however the short fender is not. I plan to install a fender extension. The position of the jiffy stand is really awkward. I have found that moving the suspension up and down returns the bike quickly to raised ride height, making it easier to deploy it. I enjoy the bike. It’s light, fast and versatile. It’s a keeper, and I plan to ride it to the Arctic Ocean in summer 2023.

That’s awesome I’m hoping to do the same next year. I’m glad to hear you have a good dealer to work with. I feel that mine would be as well though I haven’t needed to yet. My local dealer (not the one I use) though is absolutely terrible.

You think they've been fixed. They're just replacing broken stuff with the exact same OEM parts.

You are always teaching me something. I agree about the seat. After the 1st 1k, It just started to get uncomfortable. I did not realize that the material is what was getting me so hot. That's never happened on other bikes. Totally agree about the forums. They are very toxic. I love my Pan America and I tell everyone that asks.

We all learn from each other out here especially with a new model bike. I try to limit my time on social media in general but especially model specific groups/forums. Just keeps my mind more sane. Lol thanks for watching Jerry.

Wonderlich makes a fender extension that basically just bolts on works great! Another gripe i have is the radiator hose almost touching the front exhaust pipe and the bike just runs hot in the summer, oh wonderlich also makes a great heat deflector for the left side on the engine so the fan doesn't blow hot air on you! It's great on my 22 PAS

I picked up a fender extension from Amazon it has been holding up great so far. I believe I will order a fender lift for the front though. Thanks for watching I appreciate your time.

The truth is in fact the truth. I have owned 6 Harleys since 2016. I have a ‘21 PAS and it has been the worst bike I’ve ever owned. Software updates, broken heat shield, brackets, side stand bolts coming unscrewed on there own with no lock tight on the threads. I have been stranded, the bike has been trailered twice to the dealership because it won’t start. I have had 2 years of being the R&D department for Harley. I am pissed, believe the online forum. You are VERY lucky that you haven’t had problems.

Mine has been great since the latest update. Mine will be a year old later this month. It’s not been perfect but the MoCo got me taken care of once I got in touch with the right person. I really can’t complain about anything but the dealer tech. Get rid of it if it makes you so unhappy. There’s lots of great bikes out there.

statistics and general science of production would kind of affirm an above average rate of glitches particularly on a computer/software intensive bike like the PanAmerica. And correct me if incorrect but Harley on some PanAm is offering three year unlimited mileage warranty.

Yes I have heard that they are offering 3 years or were, not sure if that is still true or not. Mine has seven years of full warranty including wheel and tire.

I generally like the Harley jiffy stands. But the Pan America’s is especially aggravating with the adaptive ride height.

The biggest issue for this bike is the KTM 890 platform. Way lighter, lower centre of gravity, and will probably give it good kicking off road. And the Norden seat is sooo comfortable. That’s why I’m buying a Norden😜 just a better bike for what I want to do. Pick mine up in July.

There are lots of great bikes out there no doubt. Though a KTM was never on my radar the Africa Twin was. Ride safe.

I concur with all of you. I stay away from the hate forums. I do subscribe to Mudcat and several others who really ride their PAs to keep up with your experiences, what accessories work which ones dont. 2023 I will taking my PAS to Sturgis. I am only spending one day at the Rally. Then taking the long way back to NE Pa thru the UP of Michigan down the west coast the LP Then head across Ohio and Pa on US rte 6. Its about the ride not so much the Rally. 10,000 miles on it now. Hope to have 30,000 on it by seasons end next year. Keep up the enjoyable and informative videos. I will be watching. PS: There is a young lady Whit Mesa who did all 48 states in 10days on a PA this past year. Check out her you tube videos. Awesome!!!!

Mudcat , check out the front fender extension from AEEDEA. They are in India and make quite a few add ons for the PA. I have their hwy pegs on mine which are the best available. Quality and fitment is A1. Have my front fender extension order placed. Delivery is 2 to 3 weeks. Worth it. Check them out.

Meh I’m not too impressed with the Aeedea quality. I did just install a set of their highway pegs. I will me taking them back off. Too much hardware and they are quite vulnerable out there. I like individual companies making products but not really a fan of the designs.

@Mudcat’s Travels sorry to hear that the hwy pegs do not meet your requirements. I do not do any off road with my PA so for road travel only I am very satisfied. Have had no issues with them. My personal opinon is that they are far superior to anything else that I have seen available.

@@paulwojnar2291 I’m going back to my Adventure Bike Pegs brand. They are a small American company and all products are made here. Solid stainless steel and billet aluminum simple design. They accomplish the same thing with 20 less fasteners per pair and are indestructible. I’ve tried them both now. There are lots of choices and one for everyone. Ride safe.

Great video Mudcat. I’ve got a very early PAS 2021 with just minor software glitches early on in which my dealership has addressed very well. I’ve had multiple twin cams and a 2017 M8 over the years and this PAS is by far my favorite and most fun bike to date, I still keep the ole 2009 CVO Road glide but it hasn’t been ridden much since I got the PAS, I concur with you on the social media forums. If I missed it , I apologize, what phone Mount are you using?
