It's nice that someone takes the time to explain it.

Great advice thanks. I have also found sometimes a slight addition of throttle whilst flaring can avoid overly heavy landings. Though I guess you have to judge it based on the sink rate.

I just fly right above the stall speed a metre above the ground on a few meters before the runway, then go full pitch up, it will stall and fall to the runway on itself.

You can actually come in at a steep angle, as long as you keep the throttle low/off and make sure your flaps are down (if you have them) the alternative is coming in shallow with throttle

You are absolutely right! But, IMO shallow approach is easier to line up and honestly just looks better. But, the high altitude/steep approach is fun to practice as well, I like to do a split S into landing sometimes.

Delta wing jets are the easiest to land. Low stall speed, glide very well and easy high alpha

Where do you all fly in Kentucky? I live in southeastern ky, and don’t know anyone that flys. I live more than two hours away from a field too. I would just like to find a swap meet.

Practice practice practice! For me, it became much easier and bad landings were less frequent when I got comfortable holding the jet at a super low altitude above the runway (1ft or lower), as with the avanti example if you do this a little too high or too long, you can stall. Gotta find that balance and feel the model

@@BluegrassStateRC So true I started with the habu 50mm then the habu 70mm they were pretty good landing now flying the fms viper 70mm anniversary takes off great handle great in the sky and like you said just have to find that happy spot for the landing on this one 😊

@@SlowFlyer85 the Fms/Eflite viper 70mm are pretty notorious for being very bounce happy. I've only buddy boxed someone with the 70mm, but i will say the 90 flies better and easier IMO. I've seen very good intermediate pilots struggle landing the 70mm smooth.

Thanks for sharing your experience in a beautiful video. The Viper tends to stall the left wingtip on landing. I set the landing of the Viper 90 in downwind at half runway: reduction of speed, half flap, landing gear down, stabilize the plane, coordinated turn, and on final with the throttle stick at 40%, then before touching the throttle stick at about 30%, obviously the elevator must be pulled back progressively and never released. I saw online that they use what the Americans call "Crow" (full flap and both ailerons obviously on elevator as much as necessary) this should move the stall from the tip to the center of the wing and make the landing safer. Greetings from Italy.
