I do sometimes but I mostly like to find the family run ones. Those I seem to do the best at! You?

Wish you would have shown pics of makers marks or distinguishing marks to be able to identify these.

A lot of the items he talks about do not have a marking you just need to know what you’re looking for. McKee usually has markings but generally speaking vintage tags fall off, depending on the year some glass is made even by the same mold it can change year to year.

I really wish I could like Worthpoint more but I believe it has two major negatives. The first is that the search function is incredibly inconsistent in returning results and the second is the monthly price is obnoxiously high at $26.95 a month. If you aren't regularly sourcing unique or antique items I don't feel like the price is worth it. But if unique and antique is your niche then it can be very useful at times

It’s definitely good if you resell often. The price is steep but I’ve made thousands from it. So many rare items I’ve found with no history on eBay or anywhere I could find. The search is very keywordy I agree. I’ve found less is more. Like brand name, item, and model.

Like that McKee Gingham bow bowl I would’ve never known if it wasn’t for Worthpoint. That alone paid for about 9 months. The first year of using Worthpoint I made about 3 grand from items I would’ve never known were good to pick up. In the first edit I had something about using if full time. I think I might of accidentally left out.

@@thriftersifterI'm not trying to knock Worthpoint, I just wish they'd improve the two things I mentioned. I was a subscriber for almost two years but I don't specialize in regularly sourcing things that I needed to look up on Worthpoint, so I had to cancel. Again, if you source unique or antique it's very valuable

@@pdxpickerOh no you are good I totally get it. I have talked to them about it. I don’t think the data purchased or running the business is really as cheap as it seems. I’ve had calls with them in the past and voiced my opinion on both things. From my understanding the website was created in another country and unfortunately having things changed is really difficult. I’ve been trying to get discount codes and even that is difficult. Hopefully one day they can get the cost down. My idea was to offer 3-5 years of history for half the price then if you wanted more you could pay for the full service. I really think $10-$15 a month is more ideal for most people. But if you sell full time and source a lot the full service is good to have.

Do you know if worthpoint is useful for new clothing?
@thriftersifter

I personally would just use Poshmark for that. You can search then filter availability and select sold items. If I can’t find on eBay I check Poshmark and usually find something. You can always check on Mercari too but you might not get a lot of results.
