I had no idea such a machine existed, that’s really cool!

Cool! My Blitz also allows you to angle the cutter as well.

They sure do, but you can’t duplicate with it!

Rytans just rock! I started 30 years ago with them .used every other brand ..now went back to them. they just work and are easy to maintain own 3 now. I'm thinking of upgrading to carbide cutter options for the future.

I wouldn’t recommend the carbide unless you’re cutting steel keys!

@@RubberBanned Rytan recommended for nickel keys. My KABA and Schlage blanks are that. I have extra blades and at several $100 for upgrade I THINK I'm ahead using blades up.

@@hkssystemslocksafe2486 I have a lot of nickel silver keys, and I’ve had exactly 1 carbide cutting wheel. It broke a tooth very soon after the shop had bought it. Never again!

Great video! There used to also be a very cool machine by Ilco that did a similar thing. It was the Orion KD85.

Yes, I’ve used one of those! Not as intuitive as this one, for me, but still a nice machine

Can you please do a video on the ITL 950C cutting a medeco key? Super cool video again!

Awesome video! Do you have to change out the cutter when cutting medeco keys?

I haven't seen the RY456 duplicating angled cuts before, so this is a helpful video -- thanks. Question: Assuming all cuts are the same angle (probably wouldn't be, but hypothetically speaking let's say left), would you still be able to quickly duplicate without stopping to wallow out with the semi-auto handle like normal?

I think I understand the question now. If all of your cuts were the same angle, yes, you could run it through like a regular key, such as a Schlage.

Right, one of the great features of these Rytan machines are how quickly you can run through cylinder keys, but I wasn't sure if it could be just as smooth and quick with angled cuts on the Medeco variant. I've never seen a RY456 in person before, so thanks for clarifying.

Helpful video; can anyone tell me where can you buy one? How much would it approximately cost?
