I am 34 now 1. Nobody gives a shit about me, nor society 2. I am bound to a work contract to pay for my quality of life 3. Parents get older and they have their issues to focus on, no legacy for me, I have to create my own legacy (diffucult) 4. Friends settle down and get kids, many dreams get quenched, phased out, or dies 5. My body is not in any prime anymore, I go to the gym regularly to not get burnout at the office 6. Dont see meaning in much things that I do 7. Social media presents a lifestyle I can never have, gurus only share their stories but their formulas dont really give any results, I feel bound to the formulas of the country and environment I am in

The biggest mistake you can make in your 20s is thinking you have plenty of time and that life can only get better as you get older. Trust me, there's no worse feeling than approaching 30 and realizing you wasted all those years playing video games and getting high. The time to start getting your life together is now! It doesn't just magically get better. It will only get worse the more you wait.

Turning 34 in a month. I'm struggling trying to become a physiotherapist and have currently made it to 2nd semester. I have developed depression, anxiety and OCD in my 20's that made life a lot harder, but i'm doing my best because I'm willing to do anything to avoid becoming a miserable 40 y/o without an education. I have friends, but studying with people who are 10-12 years younger than me, whom I have nothing in common with, really adds to the feeling of isolation. I'm trying to keep my head up. Without this education, fulfillment will not be possible.

33 myself and former physio. Worked as it a couple of years, but switched to accounting which I finished a masters degree in last year. I see the issue with studying with people 10-12 years younger, but you will for sure have something in common with some of them nevertheless. I did the mistake myself of identifying too much of my self esteem on my achievements, like marathons, good grades and so on. Achievements are important, but not everything. I failed my anatomy exam twice, but got a D on third attempt after being a bit lighter on myself and acknowledging myself for doing the best I could. That was a gamechanger and relieved my nerves for the final attempt. Great work making it to the second semester!

You made this video two years ago, I was 28 and I achieved what I thought when I was younger would be impossible. I bought my first house and started my career as a high school teacher. I’m now 30, the veil over my eyes started to lift at 25, and has progressed more and more. My dad just hit 70, I couldn’t leave him all alone at that age so he lives with me now and I tell him daily to enjoy retirement, you’ve taught me everything you know. Now it’s my turn to take care of you. My hobbies have changed, my attitude toward life has changed, mortality is real to me now. I was 19 in Iraq. Completely oblivious to my own mortality, now I’m literally shocked at myself. It’s been such journey getting to 30, the army, college, career prep and credentials, but the weirdest part is that I still feel like I should have done more even though what I have accomplished isn’t something to be taken lightly. Thank you for your wisdom from the 40’s realm and I’ll see you there in another short decade ✌️🤙

I was a failure in my 20s not because I wanted to but because of unfortunate events, bad timing in the recession, the narcissistic mental abuse from my young adult years that led to a severe depression and mental illness in my college years. I am in my 30s, I look at the past as a time of darkness, literally I feel that much of it was erased and I was just existing. In my 30s, I am in recovery mode, surviving for another day, hoping I do not die soon and hoping I don't become homeless and find myself humiliated by my enemies and also my parents and relatives, who have been more of an enemy to me than relatives.

Post-30 for women is post-wall, by 40 they start talking about egg freezing and other weird crap. Totally different. Women peak in their 20s. If they don't have a man in their 30s, they're in overtime and will probably never have a permanent relationship because men like young, virgin women.
@kkorova

To the two opinions provided by “men” to my comment… don’t ask others why you might be perceived as incels. If you go through life living as victims that’s exactly who you are. If you need to feel superior to women to feel good about yourselves, you are nothing but maggots. You perfectly embody what is wrong with men now. It’s not the lack of future, opportunities or a “new world order”. It’s simply your fears. Do you know what separates children from adults? Courage. Grow a pair.

I am not a man, but I must admit that the mistakes I made in my 20s did not have a long-lasting consequences on my life. What I can observe is that some of my peers screwed really bad. For example, they got married but also had kids straight away, or they became entrepreneurs of companies which quickly faded and at the same time they took huge loans and they are in debt now. If they didn't push so hard, they would be fine, but it seems like they really wanted to have it all really quickly and this is the price they need to pay for their impatience.

Wait until 50, when you realized you really didn't have anything figured out. You have 20 somethings adult offspring to help them get off the ground and you really don't have enough of to retire on. Health problems start to manifest. People you know are being diagnosed with all kinds of illnesses or have died. You're too old to change careers. Promotions are going to 35-40 year olds. You feel like you're too old to be young and to young tobbe old. Your 50s, you realize you're the teens of the elderly group. And that fear of how long until you get sick, or your friends die or worse your spouse/partner dies and you have to live on one income and cannot afford a house...you end up in a small apartment or condo. And if you're health is poor, are you going to be even be able to work part-time to supplement your income in retirement to keep afloat. FYI: regarding health, you realize that you could have been the pinnacle of health, living healthy, exercising and eating healthy and still develop a life alternating illness. That realization that we really don't have control over what happens, hits you right smack in the face. And: you think you have so much time from 30 to 50, but it flys by so fast... Happy Aging ❤

It's weird I used to watch youtube videos about not messing up my 20s when I turned 20. Now I'm a few weeks away from turning 30, I feel like it did not come close to preparing me for my 20s. Everything went good except for a few traumatic life events that the universe decided. I took a lot of risks and they paid off. They went slow, I did a decent amount right, and I still feel in disbelief they're gone. Granted no kids yet. I have my life together yet still feel completely out of control. I'm not sure I always did my best, but I did try hard. Not that I failed my 20s, but maybe if you graded my performance it was a B-. But now that it's done, what now? I feel like nobody glorifies their 30s like they do their 20s, and maybe that's what's making me fill with dread, like I have nothing to look forward to.

In my experience, failure is extremely overrated. Failure is demoralizing and debilitating at best and catastrophic and life ending at worst. I’ve had plenty of failures in my life and at 34 I’m just as lost and unsure about myself as I was in my 20s, and much of my self-doubt has come as a result from my failures. For some people they gain clarity and wisdom in their 30s and establish a good lives for themselves. For others life gets worse, it is a tragedy but it’s true. It’s a sobering reality that society needs to come to grips with if we’re gonna be honest about the reality of life.

when i was in my 30s i lost a lot of friends because they got engaged and married and had kids. they didn't and couldn't spend time with me anymore and when they did, they almost exclusively talked about their husband and kids. it was really a shitty time in my life. you want to spend time with quality people and there aren't many who have time

What's this about your body peaking in in your 30s? I'm pretty confident mine peaked at 22. When I was 25 I noticed just how much my energy levels had dropped. Now at 33 I work out 3 times as much as I did when I was 22, but I had twice the amount of energy back then.

I really love the very last part of being in control of my own life since I’m now currently 31. I just started to enter my early 30s recently because I’m about to become 32 next year in early April of 2024. I still have plenty of youth left to enjoy my own life by making it much more interesting so that I’m not feeling bored constantly. I really do need to eventually travel more in the upcoming years especially to cool places such as wonderful incredible location town city areas nice hotels or amazing restaurants while I have the opportunity to make that happen someday before it is way too late for me.

I'm going through this now..... Sigh. The body changes are what are hard to cope with. hairloss, weight gain. As a former model it's hard to mentally deal with. Good news. I am running for office and being taken seriously as a political candidate and as an employee at work. Good news im 37 and 10 years into my relationship and it's stable. That's the thing that matters the most to me.

ppl taking men seriously in 30s is true. there's a reason i never dated men under 30. i was raised by christians and still like a man to lead somewhat. and men over 30 treat me like a woman not a co-ed in school.

Probably 100 years ago the thirties were the twenties, by 28 most people own a house, had at least 3 kids with one in their teens and experienced the death of several family members

I am a 33 year old man. I was in an 8 year relationship with a narcissistic woman. I was too young to really understand the value of time. All I wanted was to have a happy family. Needless to say, it never happened for me. Now I just sit in my apartment. I leave very infrequently. I feel miserable everyday I wake up. I feel miserable every night before I sleep. I dont know if i will ever have a family. I am completely alone ... always. I wish someone would have told me that my thirties were going to be like this ...

Its a long term thing, but it took me around 6 years from starting to work on my finances to having a deposit for a home! good luck bro, you can do it whatever the age.
