I have recently ported the motor, decked the head, bad bones water box and a factory pipe. She is set up for a mid range tune and went head to head with a stock 2016 superjet

@@lucasorf6434 no problem I don’t think I could paint anything like that successfully! But I’m looking to change my choke assembly out for a primer kit, did yours come with a primer or did you put it in?

@@survivalfirefighter7839 I have a 44mm carb on my engine so it has the primer. Do you have the stock carb on it?
@survivalfirefighter7839

@@lucasorf6434 yeah it’s a 93 with all stock, seems like a easy install, but was looking upgrading the carb too, the choke just doesn’t start the engine but a little bit of priming and starts right up

@@survivalfirefighter7839 Yes having the primer makes it a lot easier to start. Look into a 38mm or 44mm carb if you think about going aftermarket. They definitely help but won't gain there real potential until you throw an exhaust on it.

Thanks! For everything in the videos about $700, without factoring in disposable items like sandpaper. But that money was offset by the amount of time I had to put into it.

Did you use hydroturf with or without PSA and what adhesive did you use?

I used the hydro turf with PSA and everything else used I used contact cement.

Any chance you can link the foam you used for the chin pad and the other padding?
@lucasorf6434

Gavin, the chin pad foam I just cut down from the original piece. As for the other padding, I bought eva foam from a fabric store, and the rear kicker from blowsion.

Question for you. Where’d you get the low profile chin pad?
@lucasorf6434

I actually took the original chin pad and shaved down the foam with a sander. I made some layout lines on the raw foam and essentially sanded till I hit them.
