We've used the BC fab kits before and really liked their quality. We like custom fabricating our own parts as much as possible, but we still have to balance our cost of buying a part vs. the cost of time and material to make them. Sometimes it just makes more sense to call in an order; especially when we know we can stand by the quality of what we're buying!

Are Y'all thinking about maintaining the stock style tank? Wouldn't be too difficult to cut a section of it out and replace it with a curved panel, allowing full articulation of the rear end. Can avoid having to do some sort of fuel cell setup.
@SalvagetoSavage
Жыл бұрын
We're definitely going to have to modify the tank. We can't stick a cell in the trunk because there's that full audio system back there. Depending on how much of a bend we need, it might be simpler to just shape the tank in with a mallet (similar to what you see stunt bike riders do with their gas tanks). If it needs a dramatic relief made to fit the rear, then we'll have to break out the grinder!

@SalvagetoSavage
6 ай бұрын
It's just what works best for the drive line. And we always measure it at ride height. That's when everything is going to be moving and the most stress/force is going to be put on it. So that's the height that we want to make sure everything is the happiest!

Are air shocks better than airbags?
@SalvagetoSavage
Жыл бұрын
It all really depends on your application! The bags are the tried and true method. We've run them on a ton of builds. The air shocks allow for an easier install without as much fabrication. If you have a relatively stock car or truck that already has shock mounts on all four corners, the air shocks pop in really easily without too much cutting or welding, if any at all!
