Hi Dominique, please please please have Dr. Susan back again talking on other topics,. This video is just what I needed. I am 62 years of age, I'm not unhappy in my family and domestic life but I am unhappy with myself and have lost my get up and go. I have been battling bloating, lack of sleep, moods swings, acid reflux, fatigue for months now, this week I had to have antibioticsfor a UTI infection. I have got to the point that I want to go in a corner and cry as I can't find my balance. My doctor has put me on PPI acid reducing pills and they are making me worse, it's hard to get the inclination to even exercise. I end up watching your videos even some older one as you make me smile and at times laugh as you can be so funny and it cheers me up. I just want to feel better. I never weigh me very often I tend to go by how my clothes feel on me. But please do more videos with this lady. Yours respectfully Julie from England 🇬🇧 💕x

I LOVE this video! Menopause needs to be discussed far more than it is. I am 49, when I was going into my 40’s I was told ‘oh 40’s are the new 30’s!’ That was such a lie. My 40’s sucked. I wish I had, had this priceless information before I hit 40! Thank you so much for giving and sharing so much! It is such a pleasure to see and that you advocate so much for women ❤

Every woman is different. I thought my 40's were terrible until I hit my 50's. Yes, the hot flashes are much less in my 50's, but keeping my weight under control is 10 times more difficult because everything I do is downright painful. It's hard to exercise when you are in pain. I never took any hormones for menopause and so far, I'm fine with where I'm at. Again, every woman is different.

@@AllThingsSoul I am so sorry to hear you had a rough time of it. I live with chronic pain, it’s my disability (or super power) so my mobility is low anyway. Its been this way since my early 40’s hence the suckage. I still push onwards where I can though, my family call me the most stubborn woman ever, I just see myself as someone that refuses to curl up and stagnate. I detest needing mobility aids and having to rely on anyone after being independent all my life. I would have been happy slowing down but I feel like I was hit by a wall and I struggle to get off. So instead I restarted doing my make up better, crochet, knit, sew and am learning to machine sew. Between all of that I do all the yoga and pilates I can, sitting still is not an option as it causes more pain than ever. I do what I can and I totally agree, everyone is very different, I went from independent, high pain tolerance and organised to not! We all battle, more so than men, the best we can do for each other is be there to help each other. Gentle hugs and I hope things get better for you and soon. Lets hope these videos just continue to get better and more inspiring for us. Keep each other empowered and supportive too. It was nice meeting you too. Be safe and stay well ☺️

I never really comment on social media outlets but I have to add to the conversation on all outlets regarding menopause. I have suffered through the strangest symptoms that doctors could not figure out for years. Most of them thought I was just a stressed out mom so I took my symptoms to a integrative/functional medicine group. (not really sure what category they are in) But, within 2 weeks I felt better than I have in years!!! Ladies.... what you eat matters and a GF DF SF diet makes a huge difference. I can attest to it and to the fact that it isn't that much fun. But, when you think about the fact that food is fuel and the alternative is so much worse, it becomes much easier. Also, I started on a regimen of HRT with a licensed practitioner and a compounding pharmacy. And, that also made a world of difference. Wishing you all the best!!!

Agree! I’m 63, I don’t know that I’ve ever owned a scale. One thing I have always had though, is a floor length mirror. IMO that is something we all should have. Especially when you’re raising young women, I think it’s important that they grow up seeing all of their body all of the time and not just occasionally catching a glimpse of themselves in a mirror when they’re out & about or in a dressing room. Magnifying vanity mirrors in the bathroom are a must of mine too! Really helps when tweezing brows, applying mascara & catching those occasional chin hairs😉. Love you Dominque😘

Oh I love this (I raised sons) did you know there are fat and skinny mirrors? It has to do with the angle the mirror is placed. I unknowingly purchased a "skinny mirror" I leave the house each day feeling like a million bucks, but if I happen into a department store or come across a mirror elsewhere, I am horrified. It's fascinating what happens to my self-esteem.

I'm over 60 and went on intermittent diet. It is fabulous. I saw a video where a doctor said women need to fast 19-20 hours a day. First couple of months was tough. But I have great willpower. I eat between 2 and 7 pm. I have lost around 20 pounds so far and I'm 133 now (lowest I have been in years!). So happy and so easy after your body gets used to it. The only problem I have encountered is constipation. I'm working on that part but will not give up my intermittent fasting.

Dearest Dominque! Merci Beau Coup for having Dr. Susan come and speak on vital feminine issues. Just excellent. Honestly, I don't want to ditch the scale, as it is a genuine reminder to stay on the course, I am trying to accomplish. Dr. Susan brought to the forefront many issues that do hit home here. I enjoyed the way she mentioned - movement, rather than exercise. Aswesome. Music (specificly well known singers and movie music) get me energized to move, emote, and even sing! Have you heard the cliche - A body in motion - stays in motion? I firmly believe this and wish I had a room to just workout in for myself, with mirrows too! On the subject of sleep - I also crave this very much. Due to the outside A/C unit sounding very loud at night - I use intstrumental CD's, to mask the noise and also lull me into a calm sleep! I wake up refreshed and ready to start my day at 9 a.m. I would love to share more, but maybe for another time. You are the greatest in choosing guest speakers. You and Dr. Susan are a smash hit with these many important issues for us ladies! Please continue alerting us to more awesome topics/tips for better health, joy, beauty, boldness, and of course being blessed with positive vibes! My hugs to you!

I agree about the scale but I also think there are too many rules around food that mess with people’s minds. There are so many buzz words like plant-based, whole food, low-carb, keto, paleo, vegan, GF and fasting and almost a shaming if you don’t eat a certain way. The reason why any of these processes work is because it’s a restriction in calories, that’s it. Even fasting is restriction and I believe our bodies deserve food whenever we are truly hungry, whether it is 5:00 in the morning, 11 am or 9 o’clock at night. I just try to eat when I’m hungry, and eat what I’m hungry for, and maybe that doesn’t work for everybody and it might take a little bit to learn your body’s cues but I might have a grilled cheese and Fritos for lunch one day and a big ol salad the next. One morning I might have Greek yogurt with raw almonds and blueberries for breakfast and the next day I might want a cookie. I just think we put far too much energy into thinking about food and what’s supposedly “good” or “bad.”

something tells me they aren't going to eat what's on those plates! I have to say: if you're someone who has never been 30+ pounds overweight? You don't have a clue about weight issues! When you've been thin and focused on your body and appearance your entire life, you cannot relate to a woman who has had - or is having - self-esteem and weight problems! It's impossible to understand being overweight in our society when you never have been....

This was a wonderful video. Would love to see you both share some of your favorite strength building exercises for beginners; I am 68 and use my walking treadmill for 45 minutes 4x a week. (This Houoston heat and misquitos are the worse). But for some reason I"m resistant to strength training. And yes I am that old school thinking and married to my scale. I agree with IF; it really helped me lose that body fat!

As soon as I started to watch and you read the title to your video I started tearing up... I am a slave to my scales and although I've lost over 50lbs in the last 15 months, it never changes ....

I'm learning to stay away from the scale and not let it bring me down or control my emotions I know what I eat that's good for me then I know what I ate that day that wasn't good for me and I'll eliminate that instead of going to the scale I try to weigh myself once a week. Thank you for such great advice.

I love this….I am extremely large boned 9 inch wrists etc..and if you push me I do not move..I get this from my dad..but my body mass calc is morbidly obese…when I tell people my weight they nearly fall over..I am definitely overweight, after giving up smoking 12 years ago, and losing my gall bladder 13 years ago..but I am not morbidly obese..it is really unfair to label people..thank you Dominique xx

Good information. Could you do something on sleep? Yes, everyone says that sleep is important, but how do you do it if you just can’t, even with a routine, good sleep hygiene, no coffe, no alcohol, no blue screens? It’s a desperate situation 😓

Great video. I am still dealing with sleep issues which are very unstable. I definitely would love a video on sleep. Also, I know you've done some segments on exercise but I only have time to exercise at home. Is there any chance of doing an at home exercise routine? Thanks so much
