I asked my intelligent, capable wife. We were married for 52 years. She is a “capable woman “ who always gave me excellent insight and ideas and constructive criticism. She passed away after a horrific struggle with cancer. Her loss in my life is profound. I have no choice but to continue on alone and find helpers like you Lea who provide intelligence and encouragement and help me to continue to grow and keep working until we can be reunited again.

Great tips! One way I stay focused on details is to pay extra attention to all the questions you hear. Each question is a clue into the details that particular person/group is interested in.

Excellent video, however the subscribe pop up around the 1:15 mark that appears has a misspelling and it says "subcribe" and "subcribed". It gave me a chuckle considering the nature of the video.

Good advice all of it ! . One thing that I consider essential to detail orientation in writing for others is whether the language is TOO specific ( wordy and technical or redundant ) or TOO vague ( exclusion of personal references or of important contexts of when, where, who etc ) meanting you assume shared knowledge on the part of the reader which isn't there. These are part of your 'pespective' hint and are critical to being understood by others. Remember that if you are specific or vague there is a reason and it should serve yours and the readers' purpose.

It really depends on the job. In one of my jobs, I was not allowed to share my work with anyone. In another job, sharing work was done all the time.

I think the key to gain attention to the details is to stay calm. When I am calm, I can focus more on the details. For example, when I hear to the classical music symphony or opera, I could notice on every details on what the techniques they are using... It was when I get calm. When my heart feels uncomfortable, I can not focus on anything, so I can't focus on details. I hope people will understand what I mean.
