My first position abroad in Costa Rica was also over the summer as an internship. I loved being able to test it out for a few months to see if it was right for me.

For non-native speakers the best option is getting a student visa with working rights and teaching in academies part-time up to 30 hours per week. Alternatively ITA has a program in Barcelona with no passport requirement to get a visa to teach there. You can find the info if you go to the Community Tab on my KZitem channel home page and scroll through the recent posts.

At 24:31. A word of clarification about my comment that there's no need to grade when teaching online: I was referring to my 1-on-1 freelance teaching. However, I do give feedback on those lessons, although it's not a formal grade. Zoom lets me copy the chat into the email that I used to send the link + I also give some brief comments on social media. I do have to grade papers for the online graduate school classes that I teach.

Thanks for the clarification! Yes, that’s the great part about freelancing teaching - you choose how to offer feedback to your students.

Hai Jamie, thank you very much for your information, My wife she has MA, in English, and B .ED ( education) from Chennai, having good experience in teaching, for primary, secondary, students in chennai India, she likes to do TEFL, or CELTA, but confused wheather to do as offline on online, then which course can we choose, also which is the right place to learn or study, we desperately need your guidance and support, kindly consider our request and kindly do the needful, thanks Peter thiagarajan, husband of Angelina ❤

I recommend CELTA for non-native speakers. It’s best to do the course in-person in a center near you. These courses are highly regulated so you can take them anywhere in the world and they should be of similar quality.

@@ESLTeacher365 I’ve been in Spain since September. I came here through the NALCAP PROGRAM. This summer I’m going to Italy to work at a summer camp. The woman who hired me says if all is well between us then I can possibly start working in Florence at her English Academy. That is my dream. I hope it comes true.
