Absolutely love this tune. Every time I hear Mick and Ian it takes me back to the 70s when I was wild, free, and crazy as they come. Mick left this earth way, way too soon... Keep heaven rockin' for the rest of us when we get there...

Such a 'classical' sense of responsibility to expressing the soul of the song. Playing with such clarity of intent, economy; restraint, then suddenly breaking free with brief bursts of violence. Oh my Ronno. Vibrato, such vibrato-ness.

This song and performance is up there with the greatest of greats...it is largely overlooked in the rock world which is a shame...he deserves the recognition and the music deserves to be heard. What a great contributor to the genre and the guitar. The live version is equally phenomenal. Mick was brilliant...what a legacy he has left us.

Have been listening to this rendition some 30 times a day since I discovered it 3 days ago. First was Roy Orbison's "Sweet Dreams" thanks to Scorsese's seminal movie "The Departed." It was the final song. Second was Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams." Now this. Such a soulful interpretation. Much thanks for posting.

This song was was done by one of Ronsons heroes first, (Roy Buchanan) and Buchanan is one of my favourite players. I personally think Ronson outgunned a RB on this one. Mick Ronson was/is a excellent guitar man.

Heaven is only heaven because of all the beauty that must be there, MIchelangelo, Mozart, Tolkien and many others that aren't here anymore. I don't need any God, I just need those angels of beauty that walked the earth in clothes of flesh and blood like Mick was, the gentle touch guitarplayer, that brought romance and tenderness into rock. Bless you Mick, we are missing you here.

How could you not go to bat for Mick Ronson when it came to getting credit for the obvious genius music he was producing? Travesty, but Mick just did what he was born to do: Create some of THE MOST iconic guitar work that has remained in our hearts all these decades !!
