Here’s a different way to do it. I cut the lip off the bottom a moved to the inside and rewelded it inside to the scoop all the way around. Then I ground the hood and the bottom of the lip and installed it with Panel bond and clamped it down. Then just smoothed the panel bond over the edge of the outside seem at the hood with my finger. Let it dry and sanded it smooth. No welding to the hood so no warpage and no body work to smooth it all out.

Always wanted to take 2 bricknose hoods and make one 4inch cowl hood. Take the whole center and raise it
