I was thinking in terms of Crowd Control or CC; you could add bear traps that needs to be placed on the ground by a certain class and it can be only disarmed be by another specific class. This would be very useful for multiple mobs pulling in dungeons. Noxious gas flask would also be very handy as a throw item to knockout the mobs for a few seconds.

I agree with Mr. Coddleshire's concern about how long it can take to get through a level under the compressed format. Perhaps some intermediary goals would soften that.

IMO the game content compression should be a good move overall; but just as Mr. Coddleshire noted there might be some items that are in between the levels that when player obtains them might not seem as useful as before 🤔

cannot mail to another character on the same account? That's a basic need, why block that? How on earth do you get anything to an alt character if you cannot mail it to them? Do they share the same bank? EQ2 used to have a robust sharing option between characters on the same account. That should be something your devs should consider.

This is already in place. Characters of the same account share a account storage that can be found in the main city and expended with silver/gold on top of the personal storage that can slo be expanded for silver/gold and that is accessible to various camps through the world. We wanted to avoid the mail to be used as extra storage. Thanks for the feedback

@@EmbersAdriftthis is honestly smart. DDO, another indie MMO that's getting up to about 20 years old now had a massive issue with "mail storage" causing server lag. Just better to nip this in the bud before it's a problem!

I personally would like to see change to the torch that player obtains initially to be breakable after 60 minutes of use and needs to be replaced for a small fee like 2 copper from a vendor and player can stack up to 20 torches in the inventory slot as a backup. It would be good to add an insect type baby pet at level 10 that player needs to tame and grow through a quest system until it becomes an adult and then use it to glow and light your surrounding in the dark at night and fight by your side of course. If your pet passes out in combat due to the player being much lower level than opponent; you can always go back to the dropped pet location and pick it up and revive it for a fee like 15 copper at a certain vendor. It would be even better to add mounts and pets system behind various faction grinds that you can hire for your travel across the land and have a certain expiry timer on the pet/mount, so it would become useful for soloing content or small groups like 2 people who might be missing CC for mobs. So the player hires a pet from a faction vendor that can do certain CCs for a small period of time and has cool down on abilities but it is not as effective as having a specific class that has CC abilities as part of their specialization. Never the less great job to all of you on being transparent on the patch notes and content compression discussion for future of this wonderful game. ❤👍

We are not ready to work on pet yet. This would requiere an important AI work to ensure the NPCs would act appropriately. But taming in general is certainly something we want to work on. At the moment on the wish list, not the road map. :) Many thanks for the kind words!

I was really enjoying the game. My biggest problem was lack of players. When I could find a group, I really enjoyed the game. I'm in Asia, there were a couple of nights I ended up sleeping at 7am. My biggest problem was that there just no groups for me because of time zones. The thing that really broke the game for me was a forum post. Somebody complained about a lack of endgame, and then company people attacked him. I realized then that the developers hated their player base. There is no reason to invest more time in the game when they feel that way.

The Devs do not hate their player base at all and you couldn't be further from the truth. They have made numerous changes based on the community input. Solo loops, bulletin boards, fast travel roads, faster combat, mailbox system, and on... You can even join their discord meetings and speak to them in person. End game can have many definitions, and there are options for the max lvl characters to develop their players at max level be it leveling up Alchemy 2 skills, hunting log stats, or obtaining sets of 50 gear off the zone boss mobs. Groups are not handed to you like Warcraft dungeon finders. You do have to network and build a friends list. Most all content can be done by 5-6 players, and I have never had trouble finding groups in the game.

Heya! (Elloa speaking here) It is pretty sad that you had the impression, through this post that our devs hate the playerbase. Because it is very far from the truth. We are working very hard, with very little means (we are a tiny team, with very little ressources) and the only reason why we are working on this game, is to create a really cool experience for the players. If that was not our goal, we would be doing something entierly different. Like a different career. So, this is pretty unfortunate that, this was your conclusion, whilst reading the answers of the team to players feedback. Related to the size of the playerbase, we are working our best to solve it. We work on adding content to the game, we have been focusing the start of this year on soloable content for players to enjoy whilst they are setting a group. But this feature that we are proposing and currently testing is a solution to alleviate the difficulty of setting group. The population is our primary issue, and everything we have been working on, it aimed at solving it.
