Hi Kait!! Is that why you don’t mention avocado oil at all? Since I think that’s made from the seed too? I keep on hearing about avocado oil as a substitute for olive oil for higher cooking temperatures. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you!

@A vicious cycle yeah Thanks! It is a unique name. I used to hate it. It rhymes with a lot of things and people used to take thr piss. Now I like it. I get a lot of compliments on it. Apparently it was a name in an Elvis movie called Love me Tender and my parents liked the name and Voila. I know it's not easy, but I was insulin resistant a day pre diabetic. I lived a very unhealthy lifestyle. I made some drastic lifestyle changes and I am now in better shape than I've ever been and I am 40ish. So it can be done. Kait is a big part of my success. She taught me things I had no clue about. She is an angel. All the best of luck.

March 2022 I was diagnosed with insulin resistance. My PCP told me if I didn’t change my eating habits I would be diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 5 years. I began following you & continued visiting with my nutritionist to discuss how everything was going. Since November 2022 I am no longer insulin resistant. It was very difficult to adjust but I work in a medical center and see daily the impact not following your doctor’s advice has on our bodies. Now enter Kait! Wow!! You have a great doctor!! I just learned that insulin resistance comes before pre-diabetes, and then diabetes!! even when I was gestational diabetic. All I was told to do is read the labels. They didn’t make us understand that it’s insulin resistance.

Red meat is so misunderstood. So delicious and satisfying. Many ways to cook, and many dishes you can prepare too. And them vegans need to stop pushing their nonsense onto carnivore animals. They should buy a rabbit instead of dog, cat or ferret.

Kait I’m sad that your braces are coming off. I mean I’m obviously very excited and happy for you but I’m sad because you’re one of the only youtubers I know with braces and it kind of normalises having braces for people outside of school so I’ve always appreciated seeing them. Hello Kait. I have incorporated all these items into my diet, the last one being the beef tallow. I incorporated the beef tallow while doing a 90 day lions diet (I had to cut out all but 2 of your items for this). But I do regularly change my low carb diet plans for in either 30,60, or 90 day increments. These range from keto, ketovore, carnivore, and lions diet. Thanks for the information 👍😀👍

Are coconuts ok? What about constipation on too high protein.I got insuline resistance due to stress I think. Too little exercise,And I eat a lot of fruits,I got a lot of skin tahs red spots when I lost my thyroid,Does loosing a thyroid make on has more problems with insuline?

I eat pasture raised eggs with av ocado most mornings. I have trouble with the oily fish. I don't like salmon...too fishy but I do take a supplement. I also bought a can of mackerel to try. Just trying to work up the nerve. Anyone have suggestions on how to prepare it? Do you mix in mayo like with tuna? Not sure what to eat it with. Love your videos Kait! Thanks so much! Ive lost over 20lbs so far on keto and lowered my a1c. I just looked up the guidelines for cholesterol in the 2020-2025 guide. They are still recommending eating as little dietary cholesterol as possible. If they took it out in 2015, it's back in the newest guide. Just fyi.

For the last 8 years every time I would eat regular eggs from the grocery store I would get a headache. Since we switched to free range organic eggs, the headaches have completely stopped. Strange, I know 😊

Thanks for the useful information. I use everything on your list except beef tallow in my normal dietary plan but I am still unable to control my insulin resistance. One thing that seems to be missing from your list is avocado oil, which is quite heat stable. I use it for most cooking that is above 300 deg F, stir fries, oven roasted veggies etc.

Glad to know that I am basically already eating all of this on my keto diet. I need to break the habit of using olive oil for high heat cooking and start using the tallow. Do you also recommend tallow from bacon or other sources?

Thank you, Kait. I include most of those foods in my diet several times a week, except beef tallow. Perhaps I am not looking in the right spot in the grocery, but I am not seeing it. Could you compare the health benefits of beef tallow vs lard from pork? Lard is readily available. Thanks.

Hi Steve Whole Foods has it for sure. You may have to order online,too. Randomly my local grocery stores will have it but so hard to find.

Hi Kait I was wondering in terms of vegetable oil when it comes to baking what would you reccomend for a replacement? I love to bake and I bake pretty healthy recipes, but I need help! I know some recipes use coconut oil but i cannot stand the taste of it when Im baking anything. i want to cut out vegetable oil for baking. I tried making things with olive oil but it never comes out very good. Do you have any tips of oils/substitutes you can use for baking?

I do mostly Avocado with sweetheners because that is the only way l can take it . But l love red meat and berries when l can get it at a downprice / Fish and butter . I do my own beef tallow but l find it tends to get very fatty residue after food gets cold. So it's not easy to consume either. Eggs when the mood hits me . But usually eggs over easy
