You could save a few gates and use a XOR instead of 2-1 Mux at the inputs. They'd be drop-in replacements too, as the enable lines are active high and would invert on 1

For the NOR and the NAND, I would utilize the already existing AND and OR and just branch with a NOT gate from each respectively to implement NOR and NAND.

how come the ALU is 1-bit when we have two different inputs A , B? ,i would say it is 2 bit (excluding the mux control signals).. why am i confused :| ?

I think it denotes the bit width of the inputs, not the number of inputs (e.g. A or B can be 0 or 1 since they are only 1-bit long). This might be more apparent in his next video, as the 32 bits of A and B are split and fed into 32 1-bit ALUs for bitwise operation, and are subscripted with their respective 'index', as in A_0 thru A_31, whereas here there is no need to differentiate.

It takes 2 inputs, each 1 bit. It's output is also 1 bit, and it can effectively process numbers that are 1 bit
