I was always an evening binge drinker for years. What i'm loving now being sober 5 days now is the fact i can now hop in my Hyundia Tucson and go to Wendy's McDonals's for an evening treat or burger and can drive in which when i drank, i NEVER would do anything like such and that to me is a huge plus for me. Lovin' it so far. I turned 60 today and i want my old life back and not to suffer in the beasts (Alcohols) grasp it once had a firm grip on me. Hope you're all well. -Bob

The biggest issue for me is that even after the physical withdrawal has su sided, and the initial cravings have died down, you're left with all the problems thatbled you to start drinking in the first place. That's the real problem. If your life is bad then what's the point in being sober?
@Monkeyabroad
2 жыл бұрын
Hang in there. If you have a tough life and lots of problems, sinking into oblivion will only delay/worsen the problems. Best to face those issues head-on; you'll get through it. Imagine that life once you've slowly made all those amends. Then you can live with serenity. Hope you're doing well today, best of luck
