Not yet man its been a mess these past few weeks. The money that I got that was supposed to go toward the fuel pump and tank went to my truck for the rear end to be rebuilt. Not even a day out of the shop an the rear end started making noises again so its been in the shop now for almost a week. My anxiety been nuts here lately cause I need my truck. Id love to get the firebird going an I got other people waiting in line to have their cars fixed. I had to go get my dads stuff this past weekend an figuring out What im going to do about getting a 10x12 shed on my property. Ive got my gravel pad dug out ready to get some lumber an gravel to finish that. Its been hell these past few weeks.

Take your cellphone and bring up Google ap and put it on GPS. You might have to put needle under stop. Just push needle 1/2 on so you can move it on splines as needed!

@DrakeDaraitis I believe I was talking about having to move the needle to a lower speed on the speedometer in order to the correct the miles per hour.

3 years later and youre still helping people like me. thanks mate. Just did the worm gear and jacked up the speedo calibration. Just curious if you have ever had the gas tank reader stay above full no matter what? doesnt sound like a float issue. Maybe wiring but idk where to start. I heard about the slosh module thing but also read that would make it stick on empty. any thoughts ?

Clean the contacts on where it plugs in. Mine did that too for a while. May just be dirty contacts

I replaced the lights on the ranger cluster successfully. As I was cleaning the inside of the cluster the little pin “peg” where the needle rest at 10mhp fell off “broke” and i didn’t notice until I put it back together. So now the need it’s all the way down below the 10mph number. Everything works and the the truck is fine. It’s just everytime I turn off the truck or get to a complete stop sign the needle goes all the way down. My question is should I glue the little peg “pin” back at the mark 10mph or do you think nothing will happen if I leave it like that??

You can try an glue it back on. Gorilla glue is pretty good stuff, or model glue.

Amber & Eric Jones what if it doesn’t glue back on for whatever reason.? Do you think it will fine?

@@ernesth8782 try an glue it first if it dont work. I think you'll be alright as long as the Speedo reads correctly. If not you may want to try an replace the Speedo..
