A group of guys had been out walking on Kinder Scout. One of them stepped in a hole and injured his ankle. They were a long way from a road and he was unable to walk, so they asked for our help. Unfortunately for us this meant carrying him over some very rough terrain on our Mountain Rescue stretcher to get him back to an ambulance. A big thanks to the owners of Upper House who allowed us to drive our Land Rovers through their property to access a track at the bottom of the reservoir. This probably saved an hour's extra stretcher carry to get him to the ambulance.
