@@PlayMoreGolf-RipOff 5 in a row at the Crucible, the last time anybody could possibly have achieved it by winning their 5th of the 5 in a row was 1996. Nobody would have won 5 in a row at both the Crucible and Wembley (the Ally Pally now) in the late 1990's 2000's, 2010's, and 2020's not even Hendry even if he had turned pro in 1992 or later. Late 1990's to esrly 2000's was probably the greatest in terms of high quality snooker producsd by so many great players and pro snooker at its most competitive at such a high watermark vs the late 1980's, it's hard to believe that anybody could have dropped something like 23 to 25 frames all championships at the Crucible or drop less than 10 frames all championships at Wembley in that period even if Hendry turned pro 1992 or later. The Higgjns, Hendry, Williams and O'Sullivan big 4 at the end of the 1990's into the 2000's was superior to the Hendry, Davis, White and Parrott big 4 at the start of the 1990's. But White and Parrott contesting 3 out of 4 finals of the world and UK in 1991 and 1992, Hendry not making the final on 3 of the 4 ahowed it was not all Hendry one way traffic for the entirity of the first half of the 1990 but eventually Hendry took command by the end of the first half of that decade after 1992.

A lovely document - particularly the pre-90's coverage - but beyond it being as old as it is (being too early for six out of seven of Ronnie's World victories), it also focuses nearly only on one trophy at the expense of the other Triple Crowns. That's like a tennis documentary focusing solely on Wimbledon. This might be a little more obvious today, with events like the Tour Championship and China Open being even more lucrative, but even for the era, it feels like it's leaving out a lot. It also doesn't even touch on much of the history of the game, like the tournament changes, the advent of various tournaments, or the changes in ranking events. This is just a History of the World Snooker Championship, not a History of Snooker.

I think that since this video was made in 2003 snooker has become a much better and more interesting sport with no one person dominating the game as had been the case in the previous decades. It's about time part 3 was made so that it can show the best of Ronnie O'Sullivan, the greatest player of the modern era. That reminds me, why did the part 1 video not show Ronnie winning the 1993 UK Championship beating Stephen Hendry 10-6 when he was just 17 years old? Surely that's part of snooker history!

I wouldn't say the video promoted those things. You can hardly make a snooker video featuring Higgins without talking about his turbulent life, it would be like a George Best video that skipped that side of things. Also they can serve as inspiration (in Ronnie's case of overcoming obstacles) and warning (in Higgins case) for talented young players. Hendry has a youtube channel Stephen Hendry's Cue Tips and he chats with players like Williams etc. There is an amazing one with Steve Davis, check it out, they both discuss Higgins a bit in it.
