She was so cute when she was talking about her fashion line with Fred Perry. "It's cute innit?" We lost a true talent when she passed. If only she had people who truly cared about her - she might still be with us.

Actually Agent Provacatuer is a uk brand that was started by Vivienne Westwood's son. You don't have to say it in french. The term exists as international concept of incitement of rash and illegal action, so you don't have to twist your tongue over it

I was a teen in London in 2007 and she changed the way we all dressed overnight. We would go into town and shoplift in what we called a "jacking spree" and find anything that made us look like little Amys. Silky headscarves, backcombed hair, huge cheap golden hoops, wide belts, gold chains, tiny denim shorts/skirts, of course eyeliner up to the heavens and I borrowed my friend's fred Perry once, it was iconic. I wish I could attach photos here 😂 The other influence at the time and something Amy loved was Ska and Two Tone music which was there in the movie "This Is England" All in all she was a huge inspiration, so cool, so bold and carved a completely unique style at that time that all the highstreet shops hurried to imitate. So much love for Amy. Props for making this video x

As someone is was in the music industry around the same time, the reason everyone wore so much Adidas is that the brand would give you tons for free if you were in a band, and if you wore any of it and it got into the press, they would give you even more. It was nuts. I walked out of their office in central London once with 15 different pairs of trainers, plus about 10 items from their fashion line, (rather than the sport line) and I probably used to do that at least once every 6 months. My band wasn't as big as Amy was so they probably sent her stuff every month!
@muscleandhate

I like this video but i think it would have been good if you had looked into the history of the brands a bit more, fred perry has a long and very important association with music culture that gives extra context to her choices 🥰

She would have probably labelled herself, and certainly was labelled, as a "Ladette" rather than hipster. That came a bit later to the UK. Ladettes were part of the indie binge drinking scene where we women and teens tried our hardest to be rowdy like the blokes (who were the "Lads") - while also making the effort to look like pin up girls 😂

Whilst I do think the video is a good concept - I feel like the history of mod fashion needs more recognition. Brands like Fred Perry heavily influenced her style. Otherwise it is just a basic style video instead of an exploration of what influenced Amy sartorially, which is important - especially to fans.

Hello , I was there at the time and here are some things you would not know being young & American - in the uk there was a 1950s pin up nostalgia everywhere and that is seen very much in her style , the Fred Perry is a nod to her love of ska music and skinhead style and her hair is obviously a nod to the Ronettes , the tattoos were all part of the pin up look ❤

This video is so amazing! Crazy that it seems like she got inspiration for her personal style from so many different places but everything that she wore was very uniquely her. That strapless Betsey Johnson zebra print and floral dress is a dream dress of mine omg 😭 something random I found was that it looks like Vanessa Hudgens wore the same dress to Ashley Tisdale’s 20th birthday party in 2005 🦓🌸

great video! years ago i watched the amy winehouse doc by a24 in theaters, which started my obsession with the studio that lasted a good while and i had an interest in amy and her music before and j thought it was very good at showing things you talked about in regards to fred perry, it's rly fascinating and bizzar at times who those cloths are popular with, like the neo-fascist proud boys aren't even the first right wing group to have it as a central culture thing
