I did camp at Lunar Crater once and it was a wonderful campsite. I climbed the high point to the south at dusk and got some wonderful photos. Pitch black at night with a ton of stars. A nice spot indeed!

When you were at lunar crater you were near the northern end of one of the largest meteorite craters in the world goes from below Las Vegas to almost Ely 300+ miles. The meteor hit 270 million years ago when Nevada was a shallow sea before California showed up. If you have been to Berlin Ichthyosaur State Park remnants of that time. Also up on some the ridges you can find a rock called Alamo Breccia caused by that meteorite strike.

I Googled "SUV camping" about halfway into your trip, found your videos and have been following ever since. I have a 2007 Rav4 and will be following a lot of your tips and tricks on our trip across Canada. Can't wait for more of your videos. You're really inspirational. no doubt about it, these videos will guide many people to try their hand at vehicle RVing. Keep up the great work!

I've been there once before. Really cool place! I didn't spend much time there though. I just kind of drove through on my way to somewhere else. I didn't do any hiking there at all. I definitely need to make it back there sometime soon.

That ghost town looked like the place they used briefly in "The Island" where Ewan McGregor sees the motorcycle drive by. Probably not, but it sure looked liked it. :) Coo trip, man! Thanks for sharing... oh, and hurray for Ogden!! Nice panorama there at the end. Things sure warmed up in March real quick.

The bird tracks at Stovepipe Wells are not roadrunner that leaves an X-shaped print, but either California Quail or Gambel's Quail if small or Chukar if larger.
@JohnCallender

Agreed they're not Greater Roadrunner tracks, as those would indeed be zygodactyl (two toes forward, toe toes back). Those look pretty good for Common Raven tracks, and there are tons of ravens around there.

Glad you made it home safely, nice little crater you got to explore on way home, one last adventure! It's obvious you are born with a spirit in you which says to keep going, exploring...living! I bet your gf was happy to see you, and vice versa. Thank her for us viewers, for being awesome! Does she wish to go with you ever? Anyway, looking forward to what's next on your channel!

Have you ever been stranded from a vehicle malfunction out in the middle of Nevada? Do you have any emergency plan for that scenario? It looks so remote.

if you do, what do you use to protect yourself from threats and have you had any bad experiences with people? and has anyone tried to break into your SUV? what do you recommend for protection against those things?
@SUVRVing

I have a can of bear spray in my SUV, but mostly that's for when I go hiking. I'm not worried about having bad experiences with people. There are way more good people than bad people out there, and I've never had any issues.
