I totally agree with you! I looked into Better Health after my therapist retired, and although they don't take any form of insurance, which I have, they offered me a small discount as I'm disabled and low income. That being said, their discount was laughable. Then they literally harassed me via email for several weeks before I was able to unsubscribe from them and send any further emails to my spam folder. As for Travis Scott...I have many words for him, and none are nice. I recently read a statement from Kylie Kardashian, whom was at the concert with their 5 yo daughter, lying about the who thing, after she had uploaded an IG live video that included an ambulance in the background. Yet she stated in her comment that her and Scott had no idea that people were injured...🤦♀️..I mean, really? And can we talk about child endangerment as well?? True, those concert goers chose to go to the concert, even though they didn't expect injury or death, or to end up with a lifetime of ptsd..but that 5 year old little girl didn't have a say, and could've ended up as a fatality. How would Kardashian and Scott feel then? Would THEY sue? And if so, who? Themselves?

A very sober and smart commentary on the online/virtual mental health industry. and the “influencer” industry. The very fact that we see both mental health as an industry and the new ideas of personhood as a “brand” create some very complex relationships.. But, the idea that we see both as “industry” is the trouble; We toss that term “industry” around, as if it were synonymous with “community” or “professionals” - and it’s not. Industry is concerned with acquisition, production, and economic profit b When healthcare is a market then the laws of commodity are in full swing, and the business works with find creative and ethically ambiguous ways to acquire and exploit it.

This was a topic that had been on my mind since the story about Travis Scott/ critiques on betterhelp came out. I had recently been diagnosed with dysthymia/ complex ptsd. Sadly I had lost my job like many people during the pandemic and then lost all access to mental health care. Something I noticed people would say to me was to "reach out'' or "go see your doctor" and I realized how a lot of people who said this had a privilege to healthcare and support. I reached out for help since I was in elementary school and sadly not taken seriously, and it honestly really messed with my mind more to see how there really is such a difference in the way people care or find your recovery depending on the amount of money you make (obviously I know there is a lot of complexities to it) but definitely seeing what happened with a lot of stuff with betterhelp and other platforms it really left me feeling a bit discouraged almost like I won't be worthy of recovery until I have a particular job and x amount of money ect. ect. and like I would never be healed and always feel like I was battling myself. It's such needed and complex topic so I really appreciate you taking time to also discuss it as well. Love your videos

Stop. This was very hurtful to me. Travis Scott has changed my life, and his music has helped me become the person I am, and has pushed me to become a happier person, and a more positive and energetic person in the toughest times for me. Please stop this false narrative that Travis is a bad person. He is the greatest live performer of my generation, our generation.

One quick question, wud mean the world if you reply this ❤️What’s the proportion of practical resourcing vs therapy is like being a social worker/therapist? As from what I learnt is that, you played both roles in one job, I wish to know is the ratio like 80:20? Thanks love you❤️

I'm glad to see you speaking out on this, I knew about the Travis Scott situation but had no idea about Betterhelp's involvement or prior controversy. And you're right, it sounds suspiciously like trauma capitalism especially considering it's Travis Scott. I would have had no idea about this development if you hadn't said anything
