@@nthuthukomdluli1052 yes i am. i grew up with her mainstream songs (basically the whole amor prohibido album), was introduced to her with the movie. the past year i’ve discovered more of selena’s music, now i listen to all of her albums, including her 80s songs. i was never introduced to aaliyah. a lot of selena fans are also into aaliyah as well which is how i got into her recently.

Im 40. We went to the music stores to actually listen to and buy their music. It was a whole experience. Aaliyah always been my girl she started and finished solo. I bought her first album on cassette tape when I was 15 lol.Never been a Beyoncé fan. Monica and Mya underrated too. Love them too.

I disagree with people saying she couldn't sing. Lower notes would get away from her but her falsetto was amazing. A falsetto is difficult to do especially for women. And her lower range got better the older she got. Sadly we will never hear what her voice sounds like fully matured.

Janet Jackson had a soft vocal sound, as well, but her producers had great beats, sounds and lyrics to make her sound good in her vocals range. Ms. Jackson was a excellent dancer, like Aaliyah, both commanded their🤔 audience to watch and listen at the same time. Aaliyah vocals and moves was ahead of her time, and fashion style MATTERS💃🏾 PEOPLE PEACE&LOVE

This woman is the true MVP when it comes to stage performances...like look at the aura and the chill vibes throughout the video...she made it seem so effortless and easy..gosh! I would love to see this style make a comeback so bad...but too bad no one will ever be able to replace this true queen...we need to keep these videos alive...I swear I'm going to play these for my kids in the future and say that's what pure awesomeness looks like ❤..love you baby girl...you'll never ever be forgotten
