Y’all don’t need anything. The beauty industry feeds off the insecurities of women & make y’all think y’all need to buy all these different products when it’s not necessary. It’s about money & business. They make y’all think y’all need 6 different products just for 1 eyebrow & y’all go and spend all y’all money. The number 1 & only thing you truly need is self confidence which can’t be bought. Society is all about tearing each other down instead of building each other up especially in the black community. Trust me ladies you are all more beautiful & unique in your own ways than what you think. Don’t think so much & stop looking at social media & tv all the time to set your beauty standard.

I love what she said around 12:15 about not competing with other artists and dropping albums regularly. So many artists of today should take this advice. I miss when artists took 1-2 years off to prepare for the next era/album after a successful one. Now artists today drop an album every 5-7 business days. No growth. No evolution. Just 30 songs and vibes. Her biggest competition was herself and I love that.

@@serenitybeats1677 Always trust your gut when it comes to people, friends, men, even decisions. If something dont feel right never do it, no matter how small it may seem and no matter who says it will be fine. Dont hesitate to walk away from toxic people no matter how close you to you they may seem. Surround youself with positive and ambitious people. Negativity is contagious. Also important one is start saving from now to be a homeowner. If you are able stay home do so and save (minimum half of any income you get). Don’t mess up your credit. Also if you can pick a career or degree where income is high and there will always be a demand. People may say you dont need a degree, well you always need a plan B. People may say money isnt everything but it is when you have bills to pay. Trust i have 2 homes so i know. Wish someone told me this at 17 so thought i would share.

Between 98 and 2001, Aaliyah had us on a chokehold. I don’t think younger generations can fully grasp the devastation of losing her. Back then I watched all these itws as they came out. She seems exhausted here. Worked her so hard promoting that final album, she was probably jet lagged. I remember her preparing for this during MTV Diary. Poor Aaliyah, her final project is outstanding, a true pop masterpiece, the album booklet absolutely gorgeous, the videos - perfection, she had created a real piece of genius, yet it wasn't to be. She was too cool for this world. Such a horrible shame. 22 is nothing! But she was timeless. A true old soul, just visiting for a while.
