Met my husband in college. We are both Catholic and married 25 years in June. We met in the 90s when "Friends" was on TV people were all just hooking up and cohabiting. But we didn't do it that way and are still very happily married. You need to be like the person you want to attract. We are both smart, faithful, honest, hardworking, trustworthy and believe in marriage and family. Our adult/teen kids have our same values and we tell them to look for and hold out for the 5%. Wow! Self reflection here. 39yo male and just broke up with my beautiful girlfriend who is obsessed with public and social media validation. This pod really makes me feel like I made a great decision by putting my dignity over my sexual attraction to her. Hopefully I run with this feeling and keep stacking major coins. I'm doing great in my professional life and as an extreme optimist, this could be a life changing hour well spent for me.... Alpha M is incredible. He figured it out at about my age as well. Let's go!

Can definitely relate, just now learning that sometimes the really attractive girls can have a negative impact on your life if they aren't mentally and emotionally put together after a life of being conditioned by culture that any hot girl is a catch. With a 9 or 10 you can't bring yourself to walk away since everyone tells you you've won big if you've got the hot girl committing to you when in reality you're miserable. Huge shout out for the roommates for helping men learn this important lesson.

I swear, this is one of those podcasts where my favorite superheroes met. I found AlphaM first in terms of men’s help. Fashion, grooming, woman, all that. That was four years ago. In between that and now, I found TMF. Because I know the value of getting multiple opinions and resources. Plus is was cool to have one being an older gentleman giving me advice and a young kid keeping me aware on the current and new trends of the man’s world. Both amazing men. Then right when Covid hit, I found The Roommates. This podcast, Hafeez and Chris shaped my life for the best. I’m at the gym, I’m budgeting, I’m about to land a beautiful girl, taking care of my health, and so much more. Words can not describe how much I owe these men and their hard work and leadership. To guide and keep me accountable on my goals. It brings me so much joy to have my triforce complete with these three men finally meeting and interacting. The wisdom, power and courage I feel is unbelievable. Keep it everyone. Get to work and be the best version of yourself you can be.

This was pretty eye opening when he discussed therapy and carrying pain. I’ve always known I’ve had resentment towards my parents growing up around an extremely toxic marriage at a young age. I love the car example at 45:48. I have a multitude of self-help books, watch uplifting channels like this, my career is going great, I'm cut my drinking drastically (used to be daily), and am working out again. I've actively made a lot of changes to be better. Here's the tough thing for me, I'm married. We were both broken people when we got together. Now that I've made the drastic improvements and still working on myself, I sometimes expect her to pick up and start doing these things and it gets frustrating when she rejects the ideologies. She carried us financially, we have a child, so I'm committed to this but I'm wondering if there is a good way to help my spouse be more receptive to change? Side Note: Working on my purpose/alpha presence has helped because I think she feels that energy. Also, as Aaron mentioned, that also helped with the drinking. Alcohol is called "liquid courage" for a reason. The inability to speak my mind and be a people pleaser instead as well as the inability to be comfortable in social situations without alcohol helps you open up. A part of finding out what being more alpha meant to me was figuring out why I drink. Once I sat back and looked at those triggers, it was 1.) Dealing with my own reality and 2.) My inability to speak up.
