When we go to Jerusalem, we stay at the Abraham Hostel. Always a good experience. There's an elevator, which we appreciate too.

I'm staying at Abraham's here in Jerusalem for 9 days. Today is my second day and so far it has been great. I have been in hostels all over the world and I can say this compares to the best hostels I have been in Australia and New Zealand. I love the vibes but I love that the staff really loves their job. The breakfast is included and they have plenty of food selections for all tastes. I haven't taken tours yet because I'm going to stay in Israel for 3 months, but I may join some in the future. I'm so lucky I got to find this hostel. You may think that because it's a hostel it will be packed with only younger ppl, but I'm glad to say i can see people from all ages. I'm 48 and still backpacking the world, so I don't feel out of place here. I really recommend this place to any of you Ada from Chile

I spent a week at Abrahams's hostel about a decade ago. Wonderful place and the Yehuda market is just a few minutes walk away for great meals. I was over 60 then and on my own so I enjoyed the companionship of the interesting ladies in my dorm. I also stayed in a dorm at the hostel at Nazareth for a few days too. Another good choice although it is in a big, older but comfortable, family home in an interesting location in the upper market area. I really enjoyed the "free" walking tours of both cities that I signed up for at the hostels.

Got the app last week and already booked Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with Abraham Hostels. The discount code more than made up for the app cost. Thanks for all the great information. Looking forward to a great trip to Jordan and Israel in September.

I stayed there about 8 years ago and loved it. It was clean and friendly. I took their tours too and free Hebrew class. A great value and fun to stay at. I was in my 40's when I stayed there.

I just spent few weeks in Israel (I used your app in Jerusalem!) and Abraham Hostel in Tel Aviv was a highlight of my trip. I didn't stay there because I was at an Airbnb nearby, but I did a few of their tours and went to a bunch of their events and met lots of great people. The vibes are excellent!

So, I looked at the tours offered, and saw one to Hebron. For over 25 years, each time I'd been scheduled to visit Hebron, something happened that prevented it. (The first time was when Baruch Goldstein went postal.) But, their tour doesn't allow Israeli passport holders on it. That seems sketchy at best.

Does anyone know which train station is the closest to Abraham Hostel so a walk wouldn't be long? Oren said it's a half hour walk. His video on taxi scams have me skeptical of them.

Thanks for this great video! Upon my last arrival in Tel Aviv I walked from HaHagana station to Abraham at late afternoon. Yes indeed, the area is not the nicest one that I ever saw in Israel. But I did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable in any way - and I've seen many places all over the world that were much more spooky.

@peterkroneberg5456

Hi, yes, they will accept and wellcome you. At age 51 in 2019 I stayed with two of my sons at Abraham's Hostel and it was awesome! But minor kids were not allowed to the dormatory, so we had to book a private room wich was about 120 bucks and definitly worth it. Enjoy your trip, mazel tov! Shalom from Switzerland, Peter
