Gente guapa de London en el 89 montandose una rave de chandals fosforitos de tactel y acid house. Viva el acid ! The song playing is : Double Trouble & Rebel MC - Street Tuff
This party changed venue 3 times that night. We travelled round the whole M25 through the night. Left Ipswich at 9.00 that night only to find the party 9 miles from home. It didn't kick off till 7.30am!!! first tune played was Roxanne Shante's Live n Stage. I'll never forget, as we were at front of queue & they wouldnt let us in until music was on!!!!

This is a great. I grew up in Chicago where house began - listening to acid house tracks in high school (circa 84') and trip out in my room - not old enough to go to the *real* parties yet... After the brits pumped it up a notch -- the rave scene infiltrated the US in the early 90's -- I was in Northern California bumpin out with the coolest mix of people at Sharon, Wicked, Community, etc...etc... I still quench my rave crave a few times a year...:) Thank you England for evolving this movement!!

And yes, Guru Josh also comes to mind. I would still rate the Guru among Capella and such like. There's nothing like seeing it all for the first time!.. Also it really helps if you go with people who have been there before and know what they are doing. And no reason to wait till your 18, I took my girlfriend and her two kids one year..they were 12 and 14 at the time.

The FIRST summer of love was in the 60s (driven by the music and LSD), the SECOND summer of love was in 1988. They called it that due to the comparisons to the 60s - music, LSD, and a new drug called ECSTASY! The Acid House explosion of 1988 gave rise to the SECOND summer of love. 'Google' Second Summer Of Love, and all the references point to 1988. Very sorry....oh, and yes, I have read Mixmag. At 36 I think I have a fair idea what I'm talking about!!

Mate - you need to listen to the music: this footage was shot about 5am everyone there has been dancin for 8 hours and everyone is still at it and going at it together - that is what it was like at the best acid house... This tune Street Tuff sums it up - "white, black and light brown... c'mon everybody shake your stuffff... the Rebel is Here and Hes Street Tuff!!!!!" Get it! Oh and by the way if you are white/ black there is a good chance you have a black/white ancestor and vice versa.

What the hell is this comment all about? Everyone should enjoy the music together. White and Black made this happen. So listen to the song---- "Cut, cut, cut tell me somethin' You can play a bass You can play a drum Everybody shake your stuff The Rebel's here and he's Street Tuff... Is he a Yankee? No, I'm a Londoner For the white, black and the light brown Dash the old style, this is the new sound" Got the picture mate--dance not hate. This is a wicked tune and party.

PSYTRANCE?!?! You're joking right? I am only 22 but certainly have enough wits about me to know that dance music peaked back in the late 80s and early 90s. Talk to an up and coming edgy underground DJ, and even he/she will laugh in your face at the mere mention of the word "trance". That is NOT where it's at - the word is out about old school Acid House, HipHouse, Italo House, and others. The younger generation is listening.

I think more people see it that way but not many speak up ? Great music, great generation, should use their shared energy to make creative things happen.
