I like how she actually mobilizes something with one of her huff coughs. I'll bet he was just as surprised as we were by that. It's nice to see that it does work! =)

I wonder if the woman doing the demo was chosen because she had a reason to try it? The same just happened to me but I have an awful nasal/chest virus thing with mucus deep in my chest that come up upon violent coughing. Inhaling steam has been helping. I'm getting better but I think the mucus cough will take longer to rid itself.
Watching your demo has been very helpful to me. Thank you very much.

In my opinion the best technique is the one that combines ACBT with doing forced expiratory breaths that start just a bit past where the crackles/ronchi are, as instructed in the autogenic drainage video.

Might this just increase hyperventilation amongst COPD patients?
@manshibhikajee9960

No, it actually helps to clear out your secretions. After the huffing, you have to expectorate the secretions.
@HukGuay

yes that why you leave out the TEE and other deep breathing treatments that you have as it is not very effective on copd pt
@abdullahmunir2687

Yess so thats why three phases are important TEE component cause hyperventilation so move out of it after one or two repetition follow by breathing control to inhibit hyperventilation hope i make a point

@@abdullahmunir2687 I almost passed out so will try reduce TEE part. I don' t have COPD but have mucus that only comes up with violent coughing so looking for help. I have had a fever and sinus infection/virus that dropped to chest. Fever is gone & I'm feeling fine now except still having some phelgm. Does this technique make healthy people get crackles like the demo person, or was she sick? Would be good to know!

I understand these techniques after over 40 years of Shotokan karate practise and teaching. The first: "stomach breathing" (diaphragm) is not performed correctly by the demonstrator, her chest is moving up and down. Not a good video.
