Thank you Adam, right now I would not have known truck needs closer shimming than buggy

Yes, the truck shimming needs to be very tight.

Really helpful video you have made here, I'm rebuilding my MBX7 for the first time since I've got it, which I will be frond apon for because that was two years ago😬😬😬😬.... I've replaced both gears because they were stuffed and re oiled everything and replaced the bearing to pinion bevel sits in....I've learnt my lesson tho, 'maintenance is key' so now I know hopefully I can keep my gears in better order. Thanks for the help

Wow sometimes I think you can read my mind! At my last race I had an issue with diff and it was all about the right shimming. Now I'm well prepared to fix my buggy. Thanks for this video.

Hello and thank you for the kind words. The Mugen Seiki brand is great! We're always testing and looking to improve of products. As far as an MBX8, there isn't a date and the MBX7R is still going strong.

That's what I like about Mugen. It's obvious they care about average joe racer, not just catering their team drivers. I won't even mention the brand(s), but it's not hard to figure out :)

So because truggies are bigger and heavier, gears have to be closer to prevent damage, stripping?

Correct.

Hey Adam my mesh is a little bit looser than what you showed for buggy, would that be fine?
@AdamDrake
4 жыл бұрын
A little looser should be okay, but if it's too loose the gears will skip and fail.

So, for buggy. Even if you run a 2000kv you still want to leave a touch of backlash? Great info bud !

Adam Drake thank you for replying brother, I'm thinking here what should i get and every time o watch truggy I feel like getting one, I have a buggy kyosho mp9 and it's awesome, but truggys look better and seems more aggressive, or it's just the way I see them, that's why I'm asking for a pro
