Osgood-Schlatter disease is a condition characterized by swelling and pain at the junction of the patellar tendon and shin bone in the front of the knee in adolescence and is mostly self-resolving. It usually presents with pain in the front of the knee during exercise and sports and discomfort when kneeling on the ground. In the treatment, it may be necessary to remove the part separated from the ossified tibia in the tendon, if sports restrictions and advanced age cause great discomfort.
