ADOS is American Descendants of Slavery. It is stated as slavery not slaves. Slavery is the institution, slave is the condition or status of the human in that institutional situation. When digitally writing this out I do it like this: ADOS ( -North- American Descendants of -Chattle- Slavery) On your other group(s) point. They can say: NDOC - Nigerian Descendants of Colonialism. They would make their demands to the British. Brazilian Descendant of Slavery. They would go to the Portuguese for restitution. Namibian Descendant of Slavery would confront Germany. The DRC folks would deal with France and Belgium for a colonization claim. Haitian Descendant of Slavery would confront France. It's a long list but these claims and actions also will prove that these other groups are not running cowards for leaving the struggle in their homelands. North America is where our homeland fight has always been waged...and these other groups have got to get out of the way in the battle we have been waging for decades. Right now they only sow and ferment confusion. 'nuff Said. Forward Ever, Backward Never.

Anthony J. Sloan Excellent. This is so important. I don’t know how we do it but somehow the name has to be correct. AMERICAN DESCENDANTS OF SLAVERY. not slaves. With the institution in the name it gives it more power, and legal connection to the damage from the government. This is what Yvette originally named it. It’s on the website #ADOS101.com.

Should it be changed to USDOS (United States Descendants of Slavery) to make it even more specific? The reason I ask is because somebody on another video said there was slavery in the Americas (North, South, and Central) and that technically ADOS also refers to them.
@audiodramatist

@@kmross73 See the thing is I have traveled the globe since 1988. When I started traveling I would say I was from the States but everyone would still say l was American. Simply put you are whatever flag your passport is associated with. Universally folks identify you with that flag. I actually live in South Africa. When I talk, and people ask where I'm from and I say guess they will say America because of my speaking pattern. Actually America is a country on the continent of North America which includes Canada. The reference is to the country not the continent. For example: I am the only one of my nationality in this area, so if you came here to Alice in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and asked anyone where is the American (you don't even have to ask for the Black American), they would take you right to me. Regardless, I digitally write out ADOS as -North- American Descendants of -Chattle- Slavery. You may want to check my KZitem channel (search my name). I've been doing ADOS postings lately. ✌🖖✳

I think it is a great initiative; but moving it to legislation may backfire. Today all blacks make up the second largest ethnic in this country, the split means that ADOS will be #3 or #4 after Hispanics. That could mean programs could shift to other sub-groups that are minorities within minorities. Another thing is the split does not guarantee economic access... as long as AA operate under slavery ruling, they rather promote black foreigners, those who need help, as charity cases than give resources to ADOS. Jews are minorities and still rule America, minority white means nothing. Foreign blacks are not the one seeing AA as stupid, your legislators are, corporate America is, the banks are... how many AA buy from the same corporations who refuse to promote your family members, hire you when you need job, support legislators who pass the same bills that prevent you from cleaning your criminal records, etc... in all official documents we check the same box: African descent | African Americans. You need coalitions among yourselves, unfortunately American black women play a central role and have more de Jure power economically than AA men. they will have to collectively be on board but with y’all swirling movements, the public and online insults to your women, I will wait.

All We did is define ourselves based on our experience and everybody is in their feelings. LOL. Please stop acting like there ever was an over arching unity between black America and ANYBODY.

Japanese came and rose above ADOS. Other Asians came and went over ADOS. European came and went over ADOS. LGBT came and move over ADOS (LGBT is a mixed bag but a group non-the less). Now the African is coming and rising and then its a no-no. ADOS are the top blacks and we cannot allow any other black group to be over us. ADOS can be as rich as they want to be. Marcus Garvey movement way before that, etc.. the issue is black people here in America.. appropriate everybody else's culture but complain when others do the same... example...www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2017/10/06/after-kenyon-martin-rips-his-dreads-jeremy-lin-kills-him-with-kindness/?noredirect=on&.261534e2f55b..... you are not wearing your own clothes... not driving a car made by a black man and certainly not using a platform made by a black man... you see the hypocrisy? I have no problem with black people asking for reparations.. hell I have donated to black events with the objective of making black lives better. I will support black people in getting whatever they feel they deserve but what I find to be asinine is when ADOS claim that black immigrants are benefiting from them. How? Atleast some Afrikan nations have their own universities and other institutions (BLACK OWNED) where some black people move there and get jobs over there. Michael Jai White was crowned King in Ghana... Ghanaians put together $9 million to bail out a failing Chicao Bank. An African donated $100 million dollars to help African Americans become computer adept.... can you tell or show me one black organization that has collectively sent money to Afrika to build or support a school? And please don't mention Oprah Winfrey cause we can get into that The materials and tools you are using are from the blood, sweat and tears of some young Afrikan kids who need to do this kind of job just to eat for the day. I have no problem with black people getting what they feel they are owned but to say Africans come here and reap the benefits...... come on man.. Not an insult but most black people can't even create benefits for their own children.....but magically create one for other black immigrants... funny how this ADOS movement has become anti-black. How many Afrikan Americans have played Afrikan roles...but it suddenly becomes political when Afrikans play Afrikan American roles.... hypocrisy at its finest

The most important thing that Ados have to remember is that America is a nation of immigrants and throughput its history, everybody from every corner has entered. But when the African enters, ADOS assume that is done on their brow. How stupid is this. Will ADOS attack white immigrants who entered America during the 1900s coming, will they attack Chinese and Indians too? This doesn’t make sense. America is the land of opportunities and all you have to do is to work hard and many immigrants are doing that including Africans too. So what’s the problem with Ados?
@smbonner22

Theking Ofghana , you didn't even know what you're talking about. It's a nation that took in immigrants but didn't want black immigrants. The immigration act of 1965 opened the doors for black immigrants. Which happened because of the civil rights movement. Which was fought by African Americans (ADOS) . So, yes we did make it possible for you to come here. Africans didn't fight for anything here. ADOS and a few West Indians did. Y'all are some ingrates but we're going to fix that!!

smbonner22 I want African Americans to get their due share from this nation. But to point fingers to Africans as the source of your problems is not fair. The theme of Ados movement is that African are taking the crumbs left for African Americans and we all know this is not true. You attack Africans here in America because they the vulnerable group. The question is: if you attack Africans, why don’t you attack other immigrant groups like white Europeans, Asians and Indians? If you fought for the rights of Africans to be here, who fought for the other successful groups like the Chinese and Indians? Nobody is downplaying the efforts made by MLK and the rests but to say you are the reason why Africans are in America is just nonsense. Africans are working their asses off and they pay taxes too. They do not come to America illegally. They come to school, work hard, get jobs and also establish their own businesses just like every other immigrant group. So what’s the problem of african Americans?
@smbonner22

Theking Ofghana , see your the exact reason we will never come together. Other immigrants are problem. The Chinese and Indians that you say are successful, did not suffer the road blocks and policies that ADOS had. They didn't have their business and homes burned down. Know lynch mobs were after them. The FBI didn't enact Cointel Pro on them. They didn't fight segregation or busing. The government didn't drop crack in their neighbornoods. You have know idea what your talking about. Chinese and Indian success is largely due to the US government leavings them alone. And using them as the model minority! And obviously you've bought into it. However, other immigrants can not pass as ADOS and fill spots for blacks. White supremacist use African and Caribbean immigrants against ADOS and y'all are willing to get ahead! What's more interesting to me is that y'all are always acting innocent. You know exactly what your doing. To think that Africans solds us over here. Then come to the US and think they have a right to speak up on us. West/Central Africans left the descendants of enslaves Africans for dead! They have done nothing to truly reach out. But you come to America talking shit about the very descendants of the people that were sold. I suggest y'all stay in your lane. And Lastly, I use to be a Pan Africanist until I saw that it was one side and useless. How can you United with people who can't United with their own damn countrymen and women. African and Caribbean immigrants are not innocent. The real problem is that y'all don't like us calling you out! You didn't think we were watching but we were. Deal with it. You as a group are not above being talked about!!

smbonner22 you missed the whole point. Why are african Americans not attacking other recent immigrants like the Chinese and Indians. You are focused on african immigrant because they are vulnerable. African Americans were here before the Irish, Italians, Germans. Over the past 30 years, Indians and Chinese have been immigrating in numbers. So why have you guys narrowed your anger on Africans although africans are also working hard like any other group. We don’t steal your jobs and opportunities. Look, Africans are staying on their lane,minding their own business. They came for a purpose and working towards that. This is a nation of immigrants, so anyone from every corner can come legit. Africans so not need anything from Ados. They are here, focusing on their business. They go to school, work hard and pay taxes like you.

Theking Ofghana , you're delusional and dishonest . If you think that immigrants and specially African immigrants don't benefit from our fight. Remember they didn't even want you here unless you were going be useful in as a stooge in the puppet governments they havin Africa. We do talk about other immigrants. Actually we talk about them more. It's just we have focused our attention on Black immigrants because of your undermining of us. You're a group of back stabbers. You are not standing on your own. You're standing on the work of my ancestors. Africans have done nothing here. You're comfortable here because of us. Black immigrants who are tribal in their homeland and in the states. Have damn near destroyed our two groups ever having a real relationship.Keep thinking you're standing on your own because your not. Any immigrant group can be talked about. Especially the African who can not understand that being Black cancel out tribe and nation in America. But you won't get because you don't want to! Thanks for the conversation African butter!

LAR bro I'm loving the passion of this movement again you know my position on it but you do really confirm my fears. This is exactly how xenophobia began in South Africa. When you cannot take the fight to the oppressors but you're comfortable to take it onto people that look exactly like you. "The victim now becomes the victimizer". Hmmm
