Only reason im scared of resitting is because of increasing grade boundaries

that's valid, try and assess if you need to resit to move on with life

Revise so much to the point where grade boundaries don’t matter. The people getting top grades aren’t scraping and barely getting the marks. They’re towards the higher end of marks and would get it regardless of whether it was higher.

What do you think of resitting Maths (potentially maths and economics) whilst 1st year at uni studying economics for a means to either transfer to another more preferred uni after first year or have a better chance for doing a masters at the preferred uni.

hello adrian, this is a very loaded question... right here is the deal: 1. to resit two whole A-level subjects alongside studying at university is A LOT OF WORK, a friend of mine did that and could not actually revise for her resit exams (ended up withdrawing from one of her subjects because she was so underprepared) because university workload was a lot 2. correct me if I am wrong but it seems to me that, you don't want to be at the university you got an offer from... just don't go - take that gap year and really grind on maths and econ and get those grades you want and reapply and that way you didn't just waste SO MUCH money and time going to a uni that you are going to for a past time while resitting. do you get where I am coming from? in conclusion, in my humble opinion, take a gap year, re-sit your maths and econ and reapply to better universities. what do you think about this? :)

@@bioexamtech Hey, just for context I did take a gap year out and resat but unfortunately due to mitigating circumstances, I didnt achieve what I knew what I was capable of and taking another gap year out while not going to uni will be incredibly tough as I need friends lmao. In terms of economics, I would feel fine with it as it's generally not a difficult subject / exam. Maths is one I have struggled with but I am doing a BSc economics programme so there will be more maths invovled anyways and I would want / need to learn a good level of A levels maths as I would assume even maths in a economics degree builds on foundations learnt in a level maths so I might as well resit maths. I just dont know if I should resit both maths and economics or just maths

@@SparkMediaProduction ohhh okay okay, this changes the situation then. if you don’t mind what grades did you get? and what grades do you need for what a better uni?
@SparkMediaProduction

@@bioexamtech Well pretty bad grades that im not comfortable sharing lol. The thing is, is that i dont know how likely KCL which is the uni I want to study at will give me an offer for 2025 entry with my track record so thats why I suggested maybe doing a masters at KCL instead. And the requirement for the course at KCL is AAA but from what I heard with lots of people still getting in with missing a grade I think I may have still gotten in with AAB

completely justified... mmm this is a unique situation. have you tried thinking about: what is the best case scenario, mid-case scenario and worst case scenario about second gap year or not, to resit or not, to reapply or not, to stick with your offer or not... I think it best you speak to your sixth form or someone who is doing economics at uni. I hope things work out for you adrian :)

hold up, correct me if I am wrong. are you saying you did the official AS level exams this summer but got Es and Ds and you are going into Y13 this September and you want to resit (in your school) to get A's for your predicted grades for your uni application for medicine for this October?

defo ask them, because if they can then your predicted grades will be AAA and then you can apply for medicine (also check if you can apply as a contextual applicant)
