Yes and no. I find it's more useful to work on accepting the consequences we're afraid of. The intrusive thought is only something we fear could lead to those consequences. And "ignore" isn't a word or action I'd use either, because you probably didn't wake up today with a goal of ignoring bad clouds in the sky.
