Well back then even kids cartoon shows the writing was taken very seriously and well that's the basis for most story telling without good writing the actors or well voice actors in this case would only been able to have gone so far. It seems like for Arrow and even Supergirl they decided to go for a goofy style of writing akin to Syfy with their Sharknado thing. As opposed to Gotham on Fox which has that sort of serious even if it's about a comic book good writing.

That said, a lot of people before the internet wouldn't KNOW they had such fetishes until more recently... thus, said fetish is a lot more widespread BECAUSE of the internet, just as much as we're finding out that people have those fetishes.

@@BYERE "a lot of people before the internet wouldn't KNOW they had such fetishes" - I don't know about that. Possibly, but in that case I would say knowing something about yourself, even if it's something bad (some fetishes obviously are) is a fundamentally good thing. However, not knowing certainly does not match my own experience. I've always been attracted to tentacles, it's not something that is possible to NOT know, every time I see tentacles I always imagine them being a part of a woman's body. When one day I discovered that it's a thing and I am not the only one like that in the world, it was one of the best moments in my life, it helped me accept myself and had a great therapeutic effect.
@BYERE

@@monmusuaficionado2132 Don't get me wrong. I agree with you that it's a good thing to know more about yourself, as it can help shape who you are and how you act, depending on the circumstances. My point, however, was that before the internet and the swathe of cultural knowledge gained from its existence, many people wouldn't have even thought about stuff like this. People wouldn't realise that they enjoyed such ideas as it's something they'd never be exposed to otherwise. I won't ask your age directly, but were you born at a time when the internet was around, or were you born a decade or so beforehand, etc? I was born in the mid-80s, so I grew up just as the internet was becoming more of a household item... but I still remember a time before everyone could just buy a modem. The internet exposed me to so many things I wouldn't even know what they were or where to ask about otherwise (not just fetishes, but things like what sort of games would be fun to play, meeting people from other countries in chatrooms and learning about what their countries are like, etc) I'd presume it'd be the same for everyone if they weren't exposed to the internet. They wouldn't think about tentacles in such a way had they not seen certain hentai, or learn about other fetishes they might have in similar fashions.

I used to be mad that they didn't get Will to voice Agent J. But now the show is perfect

OK, KZitem. Every single day for an entire week this video has been recommended to me. Can I ask why?

Because KZitem wants you to get into extraterrestrial hentai. It's a slippery slope, my friend. It all starts with a recommended video.

Man. To go back and hear the banter we glossed over as kids. Makes me wanna revisit these old shows.

When a freaking kids show from the 90's has more emotional pull and maturity than anything written by adults today.

I feel like I should give this series a proper viewing sometime. I only remember extremely vague bits and pieces (and mainly, the title sequence). I might've missed out on something great here.

Even if this was in my recommended because of the new MIB movie, no offense, this series is better than what I'm expecting. Reboots and remakes trying to tug at our nostalgia heartstrings has become so trendy. I wouldn't mind it so much if they didn't try so hard to be flashy.
