Hi, I followed your instructions last year and was delighted when the cut off branch took. It and the stump, both have leaves growing from them this spring. ( Grown from seed 15 years ago. Lives in my south facing porch. UK) Thank you 😊 It has never flowered, but I live in hope!

I just watched your entire series on plumeria. I wished I had watched before I attacked a large plumeria tree at my dad's yesterday...it had an end with 6 seed pods on it that I took off the tree...I also broke off 8 or 9 branches at their base to try to replant. Hoping I didn't do too much harm to mother plant, or the seed pods. Your videos were very helpful and informative, thank you.

Good education. However, the pot appears to be too small and it might be difficult to keep the rather big cutting erect, please?

Thank you! I potted up in the 1 gallon. I staked it up with a bamboo stake. After it completely established a good root ball I planted it in a 3 gallon pot. It is doing Fine today plunged in the ground

What do Is do if the soil starts to dry in the process of it growing roots? When do you start to water it?

To my knowledge, you leave it like you would a cutting.

Eric, how can I speed up the growth of new buds off my left over branch when I’ve taken a cutting off it?? Help, seems like I just have bare half stock/branch that is just hanging out and not budding on its sides/ nodes

It will. As long as its rooted n not rotting. If its bare stalk. I've used a paper towel tube n slip over the stalk to prevent sunburn. At my cut sites I apply cinnamon to prevent infection and recess in tissue at the cut. Just be patient. You'll see the leaf scars swell n a new branch will grow from there

How long does airlayering take?

Approximately 6-8 weeks. Just an estimate. Look for roots to develop. I wait till there is a good amount or roots before cutting off new tree.

Thank you for your question. I use well draining soil mixed with perlite. Just moisten the soil. Don't saturate it. It will create a greenhouse in the soil ball. Lots of heat is needed.
