Your videos are hands down the best beginner training series on YT. You are going about this the same as I will when I get started slow, steady and being smart and safe. thank you for all the useful information. The title text are helpful but It would be nice to hear you speaking with a play by play. Thank you , you the man

Seeing improved control rather quickly. These videos are very helpful for new ultralight pilots with little experience and less confidence. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.

Patience is a virtue and you continue to improve with each 'taxi'! Should anyone be pressuring you to 'accelerate' your timetable, tell 'em to take a hike! Each of us learn at our own pace and 'pushing' things usually doesn't end well! Hope your wife is improving and you're able to continue to improve your skills......at the rate you're progressing, you'll be up and doing circuits, with Touch and Go's, in no time at all! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY!

I think I read somewhere that ultralights got a bad rap from crashes most were caused by people who has zero training, or maybe they had PPL haven't flown for 20-30 years.

Got to tell ya Phil you and others have inspired me to start my own little KZitem channel. I think this summer I will do just that. Keep all the videos coming man. Enjoyable to watch! BTW I own a FLIGHTSTAR 2 SL. I run a 503 also.

@@aerolite103buildersvlog8 look great on that second pass buddy! I use the same "Blue Skys and Tailwinds" I know it's been around for nearly 100 years, but it's such a short sentence that conveys so much meaning. Keep doing what you do Phil. Got a real fan sitting out here. I fly out of 27LL just a 2000 foot sod runway. But, some of the coolest people with such love and knowledge of aviation that hanger and call that home.

Great to hear you'll be getting one soon. I have been practicing high-speed and 'air-taxi' lately. Stopped lessons temporarily to practice-practice-practice till I think I'm ready to go up into pattern. That's why I've been quiet lately and done no recent uploads. I like your suggestion about a "walk-around". I'll put something together and upload as soon as I am done with that. Thanks for your watching and moral support. "Blue-skies and tail-winds".

how's the progress Phil? I'm at about the same place as you with my Aerolite 103. I'm flying the length of the runway at about 50-60 feet. Hoping to fly the pattern next weekend.

I've floated mine a couple hundred feet so far. I'm making strides though. My instructor told me to practice on "dead calm" days in order to get used to my aircraft. It's light and gets blown around easier than over 1000 pound G.A. And my airport location gets lots of wind most days so it's been difficult to get on runway without great concerns. We've had a Zenith 701 flipped on her back due to unpredictable crosswinds. I tend to play it safe and use "go"/"No-go" rules for when the real, literal flying in the pattern starts. A man has got to know his limitations. Right?! I'll get there though. Stay tuned.

@@aerolite103buildersvlog8 I'm in the same boat as you about waiting for a calm day to fly the pattern. I'm limited to the weekends but about a half hour before sundown in usually calms down to doable. 50-60 feet high the length of the runway is what I'm doing so breaking off to go around is the next step.

Appreciate the suggestion and understand the logic. My instructor told me to "learn the airplane" which can only be done sitting in it. Have experience flying RC airplanes (think Avistar) but at the moment it's best to practice in the real thing. Thx for watching, the compliment, and suggestion. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to ya.
