May be applicable to other Mitsubishi model as the replacement unit also works for any Mitsubishi for the same year. Reason why I am replacing mine is because my cruise control button only works when steering wheel is at 90 degree angle. I couldn’t turn on cruise control at straight position. This symptom indicate that the wiring on the clock spring is worn out (as you will see at the end of the video).

Make sure that your replacement unit matches the unit you have. In my case, the first unit I received didn’t have plug for cruise control.
Tools needed:
Flat head screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver
8mm Allen key
11mm wrench to disconnect battery terminal
This job is very straightforward and only took me 25 minutes while recording. Make sure your battery is disconnected before unplugging anything behind the steering wheel and the steering wheel is straight before taking it off.
