I'm a southern white boy that was born in 1954, right in the middle of most everything.. I have a couple of hero's today, Sonny Liston is one, Al Green is another. My oldest daughter loves Al too. Whenever she comes home, we fire up the stereo,,, Al Green ...

What has happen through the years. In the 50's, 60's and 70's black artist sang some of the most beautiful love songs ever written. How did all that evolve into the crude lyrics of today's music ? I really miss hearing these incredible voices with beautiful lyrics. Has it came to a point that people only listen when the songs are degrading and full of hate ? Am I just to old to understand what today's music is really about ?

This is by far my favorite clip of Al Green! The man exudes class, style, and charm. I love thinking about how young men in his day looked up to men such as himself. Just imagine the effect that would have on the generation of young men listening to his music! It kinds of makes you think twice about who kids are looking up to in this day and age. Great song, great video. Thanks!
