One pro that no-one ever seems to pick up is the Giulia's double wishbone suspension up front, which isn't common. The main competition all have macpherson strut, you have to spend serious money to get the same kind of setup you get standard with the Alfa. I am sure this is one reason why my Giulia feels so planted and flat and handles so well.

It's the best car I've ever owned, with the worst backup camera! But seriously, it's just a fantastic machine. As I near 3 years of ownership and the end of my lease, I purchased the vehicle instead of turning it in. I have never done that before, and I've had a lot of cars (mostly European) in my nearly 60 years. Just a minor point of disagreement, I don't think touchscreens are appropriate or even safe on high performance vehicles. Glad they kept the rotary dial after they included the touchscreen.

Thank you for your comment. I live 3 hours away from the nearest dealership (Pensacola, FL) and have been concerned about buying a Veloce. It is great to hear that you had such a great experience that you bought the Alfa at end of lease. I’m certainly leaning toward buying instead of leasing S I don’t want to be concerned with mileage limits.

there's no way you think the rotary dial is safer than a touch screen.... that thing is so annoying to use
@teerexness
Жыл бұрын
@@ryanb6614 Yeah, I think it's much safer and much less distracting. Poorly maintained roads and a tight suspension don't make a good environment for touchscreens.

@@teerexness How? it takes like 5+ inputs to select something on the screen you are viewing, would be way safer & easier to just press one button on the screen instead. the dial is terrible & majority of people i know got a touchscreen added
@teerexness

@@ryanb6614 I've never heard of anyone choosing a car for a touch screen. In a perfect world, the touchscreen sounds like the better idea. A performance car on a rough road (becoming the default condition all over the country) is NOT a perfect world. I had a GTI with a touchscreen (been there, done that) prior to my Giulia. I prefer the Giulia's rotary dial.with my steady arm on the armrest. But having both, as they now do, should make everybody happy.

"Technology" depends on how you define the term. You mentioned all the electronic screens and I guess you're right about those - a step or two behind the competition. I call technology the 50/50 weight distribution, fast steering ratio, brake-by-wire system, carbon fiber driveshaft, aluminum hood/fenders/doors, rear mounted battery and double wishbone front suspension.

The context clearly defined the word _technology_ as the term _technology_ denoting the infotainment system, not the term denoting automotive technology.

Hey, 1st of all, nice vid. You have the 2.0, 280 hp Guilia, I believe. I live in Europe and I drive the Guilia's little evil brother, the hatch back called the Giulietta (non Veloce model) I have the 1.4 muliti-air turbo 180 hp. I was wondering how did you obtain the sound of the bigger 2.9 bi-turbo Q4 with the smaller 2.0 Guilia. What exhaust mods did you put on?

The headlights do not move in a corner, they have a extra side light that lights up on the side you turn. This is on my 2020 guilia lusso.
@AlfaAK101

False, they do move AND when your turning completely left or right the side light turns on too Test it out, turn your car on and turn your steering wheel and your headlights should follow, if not that means you don’t have the adaptive headlights

How does the aftermarket rotary switch turn off traction control? Didn’t think this was possible. Interested to know.

It’s what is stock in the quadrifoglio trim but available after market for the Giulia. It has “Race” mode, which turns off traction control, decreases shift times and etc. you install it and program it to your car using a pc connect to your ecu
