Grew up on a farm in Northeast Texas in the 50s and 60s. We had an 1940 Allis-Chalmers Model B. First vehicle that I ever drove at 13 years old. Spent many, many hours on that thing; plowing, cultivating, and mowing hay!

What a nice little tractor. The sound of that engine is musical

Great video! Lovely tractor and a great plowing job. I'd love to add a '50s B to the collection someday.

Beautiful restoration. I have a ‘48 B but it’s not as nicely restored as yours. I just got a mounted 1 bottom for my B and a field cultivator, looking for a 1 row cultivator. It’s going to be my garden tractor next summer. I love to see guys using them too. I use all of my antiques.

Very nice machine! I would love a plow like that for behind my 1940 with no electrics. Thanks for posting, love seeing it!

I think you need to add a extra bottom. The old girl wasn't even sweating!! 😆 That's some beautiful soil you got out there. Sure beats our clay, shell, and rocks here.

I had it in some Hoytville clay awhile back and that 1 bottom stopped it in it's tracks a few times. It was way too dry to be messing around, I quit before I broke anything!

If you're near a river or creek you should look for arrowheads after a rain on plowed ground.

Great looking setup Randy! Where did you get the traction spikes for your plow?

Those are the ones that it came with from the factory. It was that way when I purchased it. I would imagine if you really needed a set you could have a machinist make you some.

I thought the straight front axel was only manufactured on the UK model B's? Nice tractor!
