Hey Wyatt Earp 🤠,had the same stove. Brilliant when you use it but for cooking, toasting bread.....for heating yes. But never heard of anyone putting wood in the oven here in Sweden, yet, well until now. Some few ideas are better stayed as ideas sometimes. 🥳 .....holy smoke....

I wish hats would make a comeback. They instantly elevate any look, to the next level. Happy New Year, from Canada.

Hello Ethan I think everyone uses their ovens to store items I certainly do I keep all my baking trays and grills☺️ I have heard that combined baking soda and white vinegar works well as a cleaner and neutralizing odours.

Venting in the first minutes is key - big ones are supplied by firefighters when they would have arrived. Now after few hours or days I would try an ozone machine and only then wash down walls if necessary... Glad nothing really burnt.

There is NO waterfilter that filters everything and the once which does that also filter all the minerals. I'd stick with bottled water.

Dear Ethan, using my friend's super computer and entering a very complex set of equations i managed to come up with an answer in regard to when the strong smell of burnt wood will disappear from the interior of your house, 6 years 231days and 4 hours precisely!😊

Smoke alarm is one thing, however a CO alarm is vital when you have a wood burning device. Beware that monoxide is a silent oderless killer.

You could get an air cleaning machine that would have with the smell for sure. It also helps with dust reducing allergy and things.

That stove is a relic. There is a zep brand cleaning product for smoke. It's here in the US. But white vinegar, or baking soda, and washing down the walls, and all other surfaces. It's the residue left over causing the odor to linger. You can steam clean the sofas and any other furniture with fabric. At least you caught it in time, and you were not harmed. Like the hat. I'd also look into a carbon monoxide detector, if you don't already have one. Btw, Happy New Year.

Use a room ozone generator to get rid off the smell

Glad it didn't end worse than that! I think professionals use ozone machines to get rid of unpleasant odors like when somebody passed away in their flat.

I chuckle at your stove fiasco! I once let my dog in the house after he had an interaction with a skunk. It took a month before the house was right again.. but it eventually got clean. Wash, wash, wash is my only recommendation.

You can also get heat detectors for most linked smoke alarm systems. These go in kitchens and are triggered by heat from fire rather than smoke. You can link these to your other alarms without fear of false alarms from cooking but it will trigger if there is a significant fire in the kitchen behind closed doors.
