Mine made the same noise. I followed the instructions, but the 13mm nut on the yellowish large pulley wouldn't tighten anymore, and the pulley was still loose. I took the 13mm nut off, put a washer under it, a 16th of an inch thick, and put the nut back on with locktite. I put a 1/16th of an inch washers under both sides of the pulley cover, between the cover, and the machine, because the pulley was rubbing on the cover. This corrected the noise! Thank you for the video!

The spring in the clutch was too weak when i got my new one. Messed with me for a few days… stretched the spring out a bit and all good! No more nasty noises!!! Yay. I hope this helps someone.

Sorry, I didn’t quite understand this video. My washer is making a loud screeching noise during the wash cycle. Do I just flip it over and check for a loose bolt or is it the belt?

TY just had to do this and your video was the only one I found that pin pointed the noise and didn’t send me on a wild goose chase checking parts

Mine is making this same noise. I looked under the washer and found that the pulley was wobbly but I could not tighten the nut with a wrench by hand. Seems to require an impact wrench. Oddly found 3 other screws and a smaller nut on the floor under the washer as well ...and no sign of where they came from SMH.

Mine is making a similar noise right now mid-wash. As soon as this load is done and drained I’m gonna try to tip it up and see if that’s the issue. Thanks

Our machine is a NTW4605EW0 Amana, and it was found with a water level about a foot in the tub, and a small sound could be heard. I assumed the pump, or restriction. Took apart the pump, checked around the tub, appeared clear. Tested the pump on diagnostic, and later seen the pump work. So, went for a test wash again- hear grinding noise after the wash cycle, when it is exposed to rinse and spin.... Interesting... Something with the drive.... I think...

@@cancan8201 easy fix. Just unplug. Scoot it out. Tip it back. Put something under to hold. Remove plastice cover. Remove offending nut. The key is to use removeable thread locker when you put the nut and cover back on. Wait until thread locker has cured 24 hours.
