Es la Cagiva Ala Rosa exportada para los USA bajo el nombre de Harley. Existieron algunos modelos mas pero son muy dificiles de ver.

Hi nice bike what you have is a 1979 HD Cagiva colour is none original also the rear lamp is none original. Harley Davidson closed the factory in Varese Italy in June 1978. The sale to Cagiva was completed in second half of 1978. The Varese factory was originally Aermacchi who Harley Davidson went into partnership in the early 1960s, after AMF bought Harley Davidson in 1969, in the early 1970s AMF Harley Davidson bought the remaining 50% off Aermacchi taking full control of the factory. Then in 1978 sold the Factory to a local business man who set up a new company called Cagiva. The bike you have is a 1979 machine which carried tank decals H-D Cagiva for 1979 while using up Harley Davidson stocks.

I get that, but my bike is registered 1978? Not 79 So did Cagiva sell any bikes in 78? If not it makes no sense, confusing!!

@@TWL883 I have a few of these bikes & on the registration documents it’s registered as Harley Davidson this was for 1979 only while tanks carried the H-D Cagiva script lots of these bikes were bought in the 1980s for their log books people then registered there imported v twins with no paperwork to avoid Q plates using the bikes registration documents so a 125 became 1200cc doggy back then . Your bike is a import & year of manufacture as been put down as 1978 by mistake should have been 1979 Cagiva never sold any bikes until 1979 January was start date if your bike was a Harley Davidson would have H8 at end of vin number.
