WOW! AHRA and Lions Drag Strip decals. Both of those were gone in the 70's. Lions closed is 71. I'm not sure when the AHRA ended, but, it wasn't long after. Engine appears to be an Oldsmobile. Cool kit.

The original AMT '40 Willys Coupe came out in 1963 in a Double Kit along with a '32 Ford Sedan showrod. The engine in this kit is a blown (supercharged) 394 cu. in. Oldsmobile Rocket V-8.

Hey I'm just now finishing up the two in one version that had the truck. Not a bad kit but a ton of flash and needs massaged to fit flawlessly together

Lol. Yellow windows so you can look like you have jaundice! Ha! Those purple stripe pad printed tires are awesome. I have built Revell's pro street rod and gasser versions of this kit and would love to do another Willys. My favorite hotrod body style apart from a duece Ford of course. Thanks for sharing and will definitely be picking this one up. Love the flip nose option.

Paint it primer grey and put a violet spring special decal then leave it as is. Stuff a Hemi under the hood with that 671 and I guess most Hot Rodders will love the car you'll build 😉👍

Moe,Larry.....Hemi - Moe,Larry....Hemi - Moe,Larry....Hemi A whob whob whob 😅😄😃 Ok.... shut-up get in & drive you knuckle-head.... make sure you cut a good light this time.....dummy Great build, I had know idea this model was out there ? It could've saved me a extra trip on my Saturday hobby store then joke shop run ! ( I didn't catch what year it came out.... I doubt it was in the 70's ) I could've got it all in one stop @ the hobby store 😂😉😁 ( did they have any other models with say.... stink or smoke bombs, hot or snapping chewing gum how bout rotten egg perfume or the classic hand buzzer ! ) That was a kids life in the 70's.... playing sports all day, building models at night, in bad weather or if you had to stay in for any reason ( really ma... I didn't do it ) or playing jokes on all the other neighborhood kids.... Kids today in this fast paced & now scary world are missing out on the joys of a simple & happy life ! They also have things we could only dream of and I'm sure they are finding ways but it's still so fast paced.... I guess they were just simpler times back then ! A whoopee cushion.... perfect,I will be laughing all weekend just thinking about it 😆

Hilarious. Model kits used to pack stuff like whoopee cushions all the time. Revell's kits frequently came with sponsor patches and stickers. Those ARE nice decals and wheel rims, though. I may buy the kit just for those!

It is a classic mid-sixties AMT kit. It would be great if they would re-release it as part of the original double kit with the cool 32' Ford street rod sudan. That is if the old tooling still exists.

Awhile back I did the Three Stooges 40 Ford panel truck. And I loved it ! But I think that since Curly has e Gasser, Moe and Larry should have their own vehicles. Maybe Moe could have a crazy hopped up car and call it " The Moe Mobile" or something like that. And maybe Larry should have a limosine and he could call it " Larry's Limo". Just an idea.
