Rado Captain Cook is my next addition. Honestly, I overlooked Rado for years until I was introduced to the Captain Cook and it is a stunner. An absolute home run for Rado.

Bought one a couple weeks ago while on vacation in the Bahamas. Looked at several watches but this watch that I've never seen before. It's stands out and wears so comfortable on the wrist. Love my Omega's but I really like this one too.

42mm is perfect. Great restrained design. Unbelievable weight and comfort on the wrist. I'm getting one on leather strap. I'll need this bracelet on later.

Stellar videography as usual Teddy. Is the Captain Cook really underrated? I see them a fair bit on KZitem and online retailers. Cheers!

There’s something about the thin case, inward sloped ceramic bezel, and bubble crystal that just make my eyes go nuts on what to look at next

Great watch. Since I got Rado True for our wedding watches (white ceramics for her, black for me) I really like the brand. They are cool and feel luxurious, but are very different from the competition.

Why in the world would Rado put that much effort into their watch but not make it ISO Certified? That makes no sense: it's 300m water resistant. It's such a beautiful watch. Why not go all the way and make it a beautiful watch and a real diver?

Honestly, this is the Divers watch to get if you are after very distinct pieces in your collection. I would absolutwly say It is worth it to wait a little bit and push your budget if you are looking at more affordable diver watches and if you are looking at higher end brands because you can afford it, just go for the all ceramic version of the capitain cook. I say it from the perspective of a 1 of each type collector. This is a unique design with that domed zaphire cristal and the inward falling bezel and the bezel markings every 15 secconds along with the lack of huge numbers on the dial, the rotating logo and the quite satisfying layout of the hands. I would say this is the one divers watch that is not trying to ressemble the divemaster from rolex and still looks just perfect. Forget about Tudor, Longines, Rolex, Omega, etc. This is the unique piece for a collector. My ideal collection would be 1 divers watch, 1 chronograph, maybe 2 or 3 daily watches with no more complication than the date, 2 dress watches along the lines of the longines flagship heritage (yes, I would go for a white face and a black face along with a brown strap and a black strap), at least 1 G-shock for the beating of hard work, a cheap watch and maybe then some nice complications. If the collection is complete, maybe I would start to add something like a cartier tank, a nice moonface, a calendar perpetual and keep it going with some nice dials and/or complications. But this is the divers watch I would absolutely get. Maybe even get this base one and a full ceramic as well

Regarding the comments on the bracelet, it might be interesting to note the Easy-Clip system, apparently allowing the swift swap between e.g. bracelet and nylon strap... Opinion anyone on the dark red dial released a few weeks ago...? Else, indeed, outstanding TB review, as always 👍

Sharp looking version. Could care less about lume, nobody ever uses it. No adjustment on the bracelet these days is a turn off. Drill the clasp with holes. Would take this one on the strap with strap options from the manufacturer. Loving the legibility. Would prefer a full ceramic jacket, bring Rado after all. Better looking crown than the more narrow version. Very good movement which is half the deal. Good overall but the bracelet lets it down plus polish those Centre links or brush it all.

Yes it does! I have this watch and I usually wear it on an OEM beads of rice bracelet I bought from their website. It follows that one of the 200m WR versions would fit the 3-link bracelet. I hope that helps!
