I just now found you, so proud I did! You both are amazing! Cody you are one hard worker, so is Shelly I just can't believe how responsible you two are! I am loving your videos! I am binging on your videos. I'm 70 years old, you just don't find young people with both of your work ethics! That's what's wrong with our world today, this is something that today has been lost! Love you guys and your children! God Bless

Hey, I just discovered your channel recently, and have been watching some of your older videos, especially about raspberries, as we’re adding those this year. Kinda cool seeing someone else from Ohio. I rescued my wife out of Hilliard, and I think I heard Shelly mention the west side of Cbus in one video. We now live about 7-8 miles north of Hillsboro, and are loving the homestead life! I just had to mention, when I saw you cutting the bushes down with the little chainsaw…last year I bought a circular saw accessory for my Echo trimmer. It absolutely works great for cutting down our corn stalks, okra stalks, and canna lilies. I have to think it would work great for the raspberry bushes, and definitely easier on the back! Congrats on 112k! We’re at 635! 😂😂😂 God bless!

I would love to see a video on the different electric fences and how to install them. It would be great to share cost as well. I live in the city and have a hard time with raccoons. I’d like to get electric up to keep them out of my garden.

Just found your channel. I am planning a raspberry trellis similar to your. I gotta say, your raspberry plants look AMAZING. what variety are they? Mine are puny in comparison. Wish I could get some of those suckers you tilled under. Never heard of cutting them down every year, either. I have a lot to learn!

Welcome here, Jeff! Thank you! A friend of mine got some of those suckers.. I needa ask him how they're doing. We tried planting suckers before and it didn't work. I'm still learning too. These did great last year, so I'm hoping for another good year! Neither me or my wife can remember which variety they are :) Pretty sure they're either Heritage or Caroline though.

@@morethanfarmers thanks! We bought a few thornless red raspberries last year...that turned out to have thorns 😡. They’re slow to get going this year, nothing compared to yours!

How many raspberry plants did you put in the ground initially? Did you mail order them? And, how long / wide is your raspberry patch? I’ve recently found your videos and now watching many more.

We started out with 25 bareroot plants. We ordered them from Berlin Seeds which is our favorite seed company. They did come in the mail:) I believe we got the variety Heritage. Welcome to the community:)

We’ve never had problems with the raspberries. Just keep an eye on em 🤷🏻♂️ We’ve had birds eat cherries off our cherry tree and seeds we just planted in the garden 😏

My grandmother would wrap the cherries with aluminum foil to prevent the birds from getting all of them before we could get a harvest. Love your videos

Got me with the chainsaw! I'm like ... NO!!! Also cut branches that grow inward on your fruit trees.
